  1. How is this interesting, given that it's more than a year old?
  2. I'm sure there is somewhere where Sky or some other site review obviously suspect decisions and re-calculate the tables. Needless to say the top 4 (not 6) have a tendency to lose a fair few points. Doesn't usually change the order of the table much though but on occasion could easily have made a difference between 1st and 2nd, or Cup Winners and Runners up. Regardless, there's no way that there isn't even a subliminal bias towards the teams that the PL want up at the top. Perhaps a lot more subtle that when Juventus/Milan/Inter were basically allowed to choose their referees and instruct them to help (didn't Moggi once lock a referee in his office until he agreed to favour Juventus?) , but there's certainly an undercurrent there.
  3. Easy to say refs are unbiased when your own team has benefited more from dubious and 50/50 decisions for 30 odd years. We alone could probably have a top 20 of subject decisions against us when playing Man Utd....let alone the rest of the teams in the league. Rob Lee through on goal...hacked down. Clear red for Solskjaer, but nooooo
  4. How so? Then why was Clattenburg never allowed to referee us?
  5. I for one am shocked and appalled that this isn't public knowledge. How have 'they' kept it hidden for so long???
  6. Which I believe will be heard in court, therefore counting as a hearing regardless of how superficial it may be
  7. People don't half like a whinge when there's nothing to talk about. Positives...there is a case scheduled for late this month. Not a single Twitter warrior or journalist knows what will happen despite their claims of being in the know Winning this might help force through a purchase, but it might not Losing might bring a few weeks attention to our dire ownership and might get a few questions asked
  8. Like it or lump it the European leagues have more pulling power than all of Africa, America's and Asia put together. It was only the proper corruption that kept the Caribbeans remotely relevant....maybe Jack Warner was just ahead of the curve and genuinely wanted progress (obviously as long as his own wallet got fatter)?
  9. I make this comment in jest, but it really is like watching the Life of Brian so many groups all ultimately after the same thing but the ones in charge have to try and make it about them breaking the news or forcing change
  10. Too many egos who would never admit that their idea wasn't the best ever Spiltters!
  11. Anyone believing rumours about private hearings that haven't even started yet deserve everything they get. This Twitter moron knows no more or less than you or I. There may be a takeover there may not be, but anyone outside the actual detail bit won't have a clue....including this attention seeker
  12. Rich as fuck, but if he's flying from Newcastle he's not going to get Emirate Business class is he?
  13. This club has been neglected for so long that everything that would make it attractive is fast becoming less and less relevant. As i see it at the moment the only attractive thing is that its a one club city, so money could easily be made with some ambition, direction and enthusiasm. Things that would have made use appealing in the past are fast disappearing....one of the largest grounds in the UK....dropping down every year as clubs build new grounds and expand. Formerly world class training facilities which are now a laughing stock to even Championship clubs World wide audience....been dropping since the 95-97 days when we were actually entertaining Good players seeing us as a place to be rather than a 'step up' Regular European participation as a good thing, not a handicap to playing in the league Enthusiastic and vigorous fans....beaten into submission and replaced by day trippers who don't really give a stuff. A spark with the right ingredients would bring this all back almost overnight, but we're trying to light some soggy wood with wet matches and hoping the BIC lighter has enough to heat a tin of beans so we don't starve
  14. 1) British 2) 58-70 yrs old 3) Used to be a player (team success is irrelevant) 4) Plays proper 442 5) Might have 1 or more low prestige trophies 6) Always called a 'safe pair of hands' when a team is in danger of relegation 7) Places effort above skill and tactics 8) Never accepts blame for defeat 9) Inability to change during a game to change its direction 10) Loves a 60-75 minute pointless substitution. Usually to add a fullback 11) Relies on mates and old clubs for scouting, very occasionally finding a gem from some footballing backwater Basically Mike Bassett
  15. Exactly, and that's Steve Bruce, and why he's being made to look like even more of a knob by his managers than normal
  16. Well compared to most people he effectively did win the lottery....millions in the bank regardless of performance
  17. When you're talking 7 figures there is never enough. When you know you will get it one way or another there's little point even pretending
  18. In real life....well put in a relatively decent performance, lose 1 or 2 nil and be told to take the positives out of it
  19. So by that logic greed is his total motivation...as I said before if I could get a shed load of money for being crap I would too
  20. Pass the lubricant...it will make it less painful
  21. It's totally the money...he's not far off retirement age and clearly wants to feather the nest. Anyone outside of his media cheer leaders know he won't get another job after here....if he was as good as they tell us he is then he could walk into another top flight job.
