  1. How so? Do you have a representative going to your bosses every time you fancy a pay rise? I know in general players arent the brightest, but surely the can manage to read a document that says how much they'll be paid without some Salicious Crumb sitting on their shoulder saying it's all good as long as i get 10%. Milner has managed to do it for what seems like forever, and i really doubt he's short on wages.
  2. We should consider his employment with us as a service to English football....as we well know this club is a 'graveyard' for managers. Correction...it's a graveyard for poor managers....Souness, Pardew, Dalglish, Gullit, Kinnear, Carver We root out the s**t so no-one of note employs the again (Liverpool with Dalglish being the exception, and everyone saw how well that worked) The PL should be grateful to us for getting these charlatans out of the game. Its a public service really...only Allardyce has really escaped from our dedication to ridding the game of PFMs
  3. Ban players from using agents to arrange moves and contracts. Still allows players to negotiate for massive wages, but stops the greed evident by touting every half decent player to a 'big' club every 6 months. Good example is Haaland....joined a massive club, but within a month was being offered round to anyone who can pay more money
  4. And impose a semi realistic meritocracy like what what used to exist when the number of paying fans actually counted for something. Also stops the milking fans for matches they have no interest in. Pay for a Sky subscription? Interested in Burnley-Fulhan on a Tuesday night? Well you're paying for it whether you watch or not currently
  5. No monthly Sky/BT/Amazon subscriptions. All matches individually PPV. Or individual club subscriptions
  6. That's exactly the message they need....a dose of reality to remind them they are not safe and can't walk through games thinking they are

    Sunderland

Heard of three from previous clubs..McGeady, Leadbitter and Maguire. 1 for amusingly appearing to score most if not all of their goals..Wyke 1 for being a massively amusing Simpsons tribute...Max Power (The man you'd love to touch, but you must not touch)
  8. Of course they were. The 'Big 6' have shown how low they will stoop to get money in, and having another competitor could have potentially reduced their share. Either Masters knew of the ESL plan or he didn't. If he did, then it shows him being completely beholden to the 'Big 6' If he didn't then his buddies have bent him over Marcellus Wallace style. If he had the interests of the league purely at heart, then another big player should have been more than welcome...
  9. Nick will have been baking some bread and arranged his brown and white loaves in to stripes....and photo'd in black and white
  10. What problem has he caused? An attention seeking knacker will have no influence on any legal or business negotiations. Do agree that he is attention seeking and knows as little as anyone else on here
  11. Ffs....this team and manager can't even be incompetent at being incompetent. Anither point accumulated...another step to another season of Bruceball
  12. It's been the same forever....there's always some corruption story lurking in the background. George Graham taking bungs Serie A Scandal Players influencing games for betting (LeTissier corner debacle) FiFa world cup voting Big Sam's alleged dodgy dealings Jean-Alain Boumsong Qatar getting a world cup awarded without being able to hold one Fergie-time 98 World Cup final wrt forcing the real Ronaldo to play hours after having a fit Chelsea Man City Glazers And thats just off the top of my head without research
  13. So it seems clear that this is a universally despised idea outside of the board rooms of these clubs. Given that, how exactly do they intend to repay the bank funding it (JP Morgan?). Lets assume fans of the 6 involved sign up for pay tv/streaming or whatever, where is the rest going to come from? Asia? Well renowned for paying for live events. South America? Far more interested in their own leagues. North America?...Don't care what people say, football (soccer) will always be a distant 4th choice for them behind NFL/NBA/NHL. If it goes ahead, can't see it lasting more than 2/3 seasons
  14. More likely to be sitting there with a Munch Bunch yogurt smeared all over his face and...."Takeover want. Then we help"
  15. Doubt it...Masters is probably curled up in a ball in the corner crying over how his 'big 6' buddies have screwed him over
  16. In all seriousness regardless of Ashleys opinions on this, given the clubs inability to communicate anything over the last 14 years, why would anyone be expecting a statement from them? No doubt Ashley would love an invite to a competition that guarantees 100s of millions a year with no risk as its been obvious since Keegan left he has nothing but contempt for fans
  17. Not really, only Everton have actively spoken out so far. Would not be remotely surprised if all the other clubs released similar, and the Thumb, Barnes and Ashley stay silent. Hell putting out a statement involves typing, and doubt Charnley can figure out how to switch a computer on, let alone show some solidarity or backbone with anyone
  18. But how will Ashley wallpaper his house then?
  19. Robert was fastest I ever saw with the ball. Enrique was deceptively fast. Never looked quick but could almost always recover to catch the quickest
