  1. Gutted for the lads. Should be proud of their effort though after their first, we outplayed them from then on. Deserved a point at the very least.
  2. Both sides were poor, we probably deserved a point on the balance of play. Debuchy was fantastic, by far the best man on the pitch.
  3. Seems to get away with that kind of thing every game. I remember the Cardiff and Tottenham games both could have had pens given against him.
  4. When nearly the entire team came and hugged Papiss.
  5. At 4-1 we might as well exploit the situation for the best long-term gain, tbh. Hypothetically, of course. It's not like Cisse will be back in the side against Arsenal, I wouldn't have thought. Think he's talking about the Remy penalty which tbf should have been taken by the regulars. Cisse's, I have no problem with. Yeah my problem is with the Remy one. Cisse's was fair enough since the game was well over.
  6. Oh one other thing. If the guys would stop being so sentimental with the penalties that would be great. Give it to Benny or Shola or Cabaye. Stop giving the around to whoever hasn't scored in x games.
  7. Those Stoke fans must be mental. The only outright poor decision made was the Williamson handball which should have been given. Everything else (the reds/pens) were all clear, only the first red is soft and that's completely on the boneheaded idiot that decided to do two stupid fouls within minutes of each other. They should be thankful that the two other pen shouts weren't given as they very well could have been any other day. Anyway, good result. Although it was always going to be ours after the second red. Before that we were poor, left them in far too much space and let them come at us. We needed to be closing them down.
  8. More of a offseason purchase but. Thoughts on Winston Reid? CB probably isn't the biggest need right now but if Colo does leave we'd need another. Is WHam's best player by a million miles (hence they've been trash since he got injured), and wouldn't be terribly expensive if they go down. There was talk of Arsenal being interested but that seems to have died down. Would be a great addition.
  9. This is pretty much how I feel. Our execution of the counter game was piss poor however. The chances we did make were squandered but the majority of our possession resulted in the wrong decision being made. Perhaps allowing Swansea so much space/time for their own gameplan was the wrong idea but in all honesty they never scored (nor looked like scoring) from that kind of set up.

  11. Anybody expecting us to beat the Mexicans is going to be very disappointed. We might, might score a goal in Wellington. But at the Azteca, it'll be a slaughter. Our form has been absolute garbage and other than Reid our defence is non-existent. Actually kind of gutted when I saw the US score the winner.
  12. Shite. Only one person in (on loan) who has been a target since last year. The media should be on JFK's case. "Judge me on my signings." Well he made none.
  13. The kid pointing at his back and realising there was nothing on it.
  14. Some good movement so far. Sissoko, Anita, Marv and Ben Arfa have all done fairly well running from deeper areas. Ben Arfa just needs to look for a pass or through ball rather than shoot every time. Although it might be due to neither striker making a run for him, get Gouffran on for Shola and we might see better opportunities. Defending set pieces and crosses are a worry. Need to stop them coming in as much as possible as it'll be a matter of time before they get a hold of one.
  15. No point keeping him on. If he got injured we'd be calling for Pardews head for keeping him out there.
  16. That really could have been much, much worse. We could be 4 down if City take their chances, 6 down if the pens are given. Taylor, Cisse and Debuchy have been horrible. Cisse in particular who has lost the ball within seconds of being given it every time. Thankfully Ban Arfa has looked good with the ball. Sissoko has shown flashes as well.

Why would you put the gate up before tearing the wall down?
  18. Think this is more Fulham being terrible than anything else. Should only be a matter of time before a Sunderland goal.
  19. You can nob off with excuse/reason number 3 like! Why? Playing more games does provide a greater risk of injury. Which bit us in the arse a fair bit last season.
  20. To be on the optimistic side. 1 - The side did finish 5th (and if not for a stupid throw in, would have finished 4th) only two seasons ago. 2 - That side is arguably worse than the side we are running with this season. 3 - They no longer have Europa league games, therefore the risk of injury and tiredness is lower. 4 - Many of the Jan purchases will be better adjusted to the team, tactics and style of English football. 5 - Pardew should have a real fear for his job, which might see him be more open with his tactical decisions. Of course in saying this, the negative side could take up a few pages.
  21. Doesn't matter what he wants. Unless he puts up the cash he can get stuffed.
