No, it wasn't the club strategy the club sold him. I wouldn't sell for Liverpool under any circumstance in this window. Agree but the strategy they pursued was go all in. And bare in mind a certain degree of fortune was in play last season with English clubs getting an extra place and two cartel members being well off the pace. The strategy they pursued was just an extremely high risk one and now they have to pay for it.
