  1. We weren’t great, that goes without saying. I can’t help take positivity from the result though, we lose this game last season imo.
  2. I think it’s perfectly understandable to rue his sale, obviously he’s has the potential to solve a pretty big issue for us on the right flank. That being said, it’s important to understand we didn’t image much choice. It’s quite clear the market for players we actually want to sell doesn’t really exists so we were left stuck. I’m sure if we are being honest with ourselves, we haven’t bought many players that we’d rather not have in order to keep him right?

He’s clearly come on quite a bit and is trusted a lot more by Eddie than previously. If this was last season he would be hauled off as soon as Schar was sent off. overall not his best day but he will learn and become a better player as a result.
  4. we can’t defend this by sitting deep mind, we always look hopeless in a low block.
  5. What? We had 70m hole who would you have sold to cover it?
  6. Because as we’ve seen so often it was a situation whereby both players put the heads together commonly referred to as “hangbags” usually in said situations both get booked which would have been acceptable. Unfortunately Diaz is a massive pussy.
  7. That’s exactly what happened, Southampton have gotten away with constantly fouling.
  8. Red card bullshit aside we’ve been extremely poor, our play had been without any thought whatsoever. they are playing 3 at the back, just overload the flanks and profit.
  9. Pawson has been rank from the kick off btw small one is about 4 fouls one being a body check without punishment.
  10. Wasn’t a head but, it was one of those fact we put our heads together we see every week, Diaz hadjust rinsed it though.
  11. Where is big jammy? I hope he socks that cheating cunt diaz absolutely absurd
  12. Realistically we need to ship him out, he’s probably fourth choice at this stage.
  13. FFP creates nothing clubs like Fulham.
  14. Yeah, I hear you about not worrying about this for now. in terms of punishments, I just don’t see them diverging from the current punishments. We’ve seen the league have multiple opportunities to soften the rules but all of them get voted down (see villas proposal for larger losses). anyways as you’ve said let’s see how it goes.

For me no, it isn’t subjective your being mugged off on public. Ultimately the leaks are coming from either them or us, the moment this leaks and the Parish is going on tv and giving interviews you might want to consider if it’s time to walk away. Now we are in a position whereby we don’t have the player and if we want the player we are paying an inflated fee in a deflating market.

We are being made to look like mugs to be frank, walk away. The only problem now is the world thinks you have 65m to spend on mid table defenders. this doesn’t reflect well on Eales and Mitchell.
  17. Indeed we don’t know, but ultimately being compelled to sell would be selling from a position of weakness and that’s something we should seek to advise. Imagine letting Gordon go for 30m + Gomez that would have been an unmitigated disaster and a great demonstration as to why we have to cut out cloth. Basically we probably do have to player trade but we should be doing it from a position of strength and not because our backs are to wall with vultures circling
  18. @HayDen Traces That’s not quite correct, we have quite a clear idea of FFP picture as we had a 60m + hole to file by July 1st. Ultimately revenue forecasts aren’t particularly relevant as what matters is actuals. I understand the points your making about trust but it isn’t a case of trust or not trusting, it’s a case of having a grasp of the finances and how they will impact us in future. I estimate the deal for Guehi will cost us about 20m per year on accounting basis, that sum has to be covered by revenue. I think it’s important to be clear here, I think he’s a great player and will be great for us, I do question weather the deal makes sense financially though.
  19. Absolutely yes, it will be more acute for us though as our amortisation compared to our Revenue is quite high.

Chelsea are able to offset such sales by selling academy players something they’ve been doing annually for years, also the baseline revenue they have is double ours. Unfortunately the dogshit rules makes us and them hard to compare.
