40m for watkins is indeed not serious. It's one of those situations where he's worth more to Villa in terms of valuation than he is to Manchester united.

Yeah I couldn't give a shit. Would have been insane for us to pay 40m for him imo. -

No, I couldn't carless about Trafford, I don't actually understand why a club with ambition would bother to develop a goal keeper, just buy the best you can get like kobel. We are about dogmatic when it comes to this kind of thing. -

Ramsdale is a side grade at best if we are being honest. Not sure I see the value of having two keeps of about even overall ability. Im assuming we will exercise the option as well given Eddie isn't keen on loans. -
Stories all summer have been Eddie wants to keep pope and wants his keepers to compete.

Why make him any promises? Wouldn't be capping my upside no.

Not signing anyone else after random would be a complete disaster mind.

Selling Watkins who's probably past peak value and buying someone like Jackson who's of similar profile but much younger is a very villa thing to do. They aren't afraid of taking risk.

They are in Dreamworld.

Got you, I'm following the qs so thanks for clarifying

We have to send a message, we can't allow other clubs to treat us like we are also rans. We can't provide a blueprint on how you get Newcastle's star players on the cheap to the other cartel clubs. We have to send a message to our players that if they want to leave, it has to be done in the correct professional way whereby everyone can win. We have to demonstrate to our fans that we are serious club who were being sincere when the fans were told about the clubs ambitions, no more talking actions. And finally we can't just roll over because a player is unhappy, so what get on with it. Tell you shitty agent to present us something acceptable or jog the fuck on.

Isak and the scouse are banking on us being piss weak because the position they have is extremely weak. 1 Liverpool, this whole rouse has done about because Liverpool are unwilling/unable to pay his actual worth so we've reached a situation whereby they have 2 options. Pay what we want or walk. Them being special they took the third option which is so what real Madrid did to them with Trent and little bro us, planting stories in the media and blatantly making overtures towards our play. 2 for Isaks part hes also in a Jam, he's got 3 years remaining with no get out, can he feasible go on strike for the season? I mean he can but it will ruin his reputation and make him look as unprofessional as can be imagined. And even then he'd still have 2 years left. Imo he will be left with little option but to play if we hold firm.

It's all realistic, but again it depends on us having a backbone. If we are willing to get dog walked by Liverpool and the player then absolutely. We hold all of the cards and do for another 3 years, your suggestions involving folding them, mine assert our control over the situation and let the world know we aren't a wee club in the north east

Won't be no going through this next season. If we are properly managed (we aren't) then we will have a replacement brought in this summer and stick to our guns next summer for a sale to someone else. We aren't in a hurry he's got 3 years left to run. His price also won't change that much regardless too. Worse case scenario is playing in the sand for Alex as I'm told Saudi is full of it. Bending over to a player who has thrown a strop and to a club who've engineered this shouldn't be an option.

More than happy for Isak to sit in our reserves until next summer personally. I wouldn't sell to Liverpool period rewarding the blatant attempts at unsettling our players 2 summers in a row isn't it my MO. As for Elliot, he's a mid player cartel cast off who will end up turning in 6/10 performances for Fulham.
