  1. What is the exact pl rule joining is against? And what is the sanction?
  2. Absolutely, the whole European football thing only works because all nations have a chance. A split would be devastating. Imagine a split where British French and Germans play in Uefa competitions and the rest split to this.
  3. PSG are out. It enabled them to takeover the Eca. PSG essentially run European football by proxy at this point.
  4. Feels like it leaves FFP without a leg to stand on tbh. I mean in a business sense restricting someone’s revenue and how they invest is astonishing.
  5. Modern football is such a good lens for modern day society tbh.
  6. Politically it’s very difficult for us to be the ones to do so.
  7. I concur on both counts but this decision actually threatens the fabric of European football itself.
  8. Relax, it’s all speculation for now. clubs don’t usually issue statement on the back of reports from the sun. I’m not saying it won’t happen but the lack of statement doesn’t indicate anything.
  9. I’m not so sure about this, they now have a Saudi scapegoat to point to as to why they should be in it on morale grounds. Why not make a rule saying state owned clubs are banned? You don’t think RAWK and red cafe would lap that up and sign up out of pure righteousness?
  10. The fallout from this is going to be game changing. It’s almost hilarious that the case was brought on the basis of competition when the structure proposed was anti competitive itself
  11. Subject is also legit thread worthy.
  12. Oh boy cat amongst the pidgeons. Now about that FFP.
  13. I reckon two (mainly because it’s what the athletic mentioned). Philips and David.
  14. Naaa. Managers aren’t really long term appointments to be frank, Saf was the exception not the rule. I bet the average manager term is 2 years or so (at PL level). If he does go he’s got history of walking out part way through a job so I don’t think any of us will be surprised.
  15. People in his position are meant to be long term appointments who can ensure continuity between managers and help transitions. his role is meant to set the tone for the who club in terms of both recruitment philosophy as well and playing style.
  16. We need a unhinged section for these of these mental posts
  17. He really isn’t easily replaceable, if he was we wouldn’t have gone to such lengths and expense to get him.
  18. He’s a very steady manager his football isn’t great but he can probably get them up the league.
  19. This will be a very difficult game sadly. The conditions which have led to our poor away form haven’t changed so I anticipate we will struggle again.
  20. It may feel that way but trust me, it isn’t even close. We do nothing In this window we will at minimum fight for a place in the conference league. This season has felt rough but we are still in a decent position and I’ve got no doubt we will be back stronger than ever next season.
  21. First one on google. Welcome to AC Milan one I think
  22. Also, Ornstein last week said we had some margin to do something in this window so we will how it plays out. I hope we stick to our plan personally and focus on the long term, short term fixes should be limited to loans or freebies imo.
  23. Absolutely, we are basically at the glass ceiling now. Meanwhile Chelsea who lose a million a week for many years are fine to drop a bill and it’s called fair play
  24. From my Dennis wise scouting he looks awful constantly falling over his feet and nothing looking particularly clean and this was his highlights. Haven’t seen him with my own eyes so no clue if he’s actually any good mind.
