  1. As someone who isn't a happy clapper what are we concerned about at present? My only concern is keeping Isak I'm sure we will get more players in and we clearly have some spends.
  2. I think Arsenal are absolutely desperate to win the league, it's a bit of a monkey for them ATM.
  3. It's normal man, everyone is trying to secure the best deal for themselves.
  4. This arguement makes no sense though. If im following your logic and please do correct me if I'm wrong here but it's like saying we didn't want Elanga because he wasn't our first choice. Another example is if we bought Delap do you reckon we would have been in for Hugo? That means we don't actually want Hugo right? I think what Liverpool have tried to do is create leverage where it doesn't really exist to try and both steal a march on the rest of Isaks suitors and to attempt to lower the price. I do believe Liverpool would prefer Isak I think that's evident but I don't think that means they don't want Ekitike. But ultimately who doesn't want the primary target over the secondary one.
  5. We have. His agent actually was on Tyneside for talks before
  6. Ki man, Liverpool are saying that Isak is 1st choice Hugo is second choice. If we won't sell them Isak they will move on the second choice which also happens to be one of our targets. The bluff element only comes in if they don't sign either imo. If they end up with second choice then they've still filled the position they wanted to.
  7. Not posted thanks for sharing.
  8. I appreciate this way of doing things btw, at least when the title gets updated again the information is new and you know an actual update hae occured.
  9. Because the bid was rejected and it's all gone quiet apart from engagement baiting?
  10. I don't think they needed any encouragement, and the timing of it suggest the encouragement was us buying ekitke and replacing Isak in advance. If your pointing the finger at the nebulous isak agent your pointing it at Isak as his agent is working on his clients behalf.
  11. What we know is. We tried to buy ekitike and Liverpool then approached us for Isak. We rebuffed them and now they are also interested in Ekitke. We do not know who is responsible for what or who encouraged who.
  12. Not worried at all personally. But I do think as fans it's important we understand we can only conduct background checks on so many players and we know this is a very large element of how we recruit.
  13. The weirdos spunked a 100m on a 30 year old and are trying to spunk 70m on Luis Diaz. They are basically mugs.
  14. They are only bluffing if they end up with neither player? I'm sure isak is by far the guy they want but if they can't get him and they sign Ekitike im struggling to see the bluff here. They've obviously overplayed the hand they had but it's basically a free option for them.
  15. Different players though can't play wide or behind the striker. So you lose a lot of flexibility tactically.
  16. Club owned by Red bull isn't exactly in need of cash mind.
  17. Sesko asking price is also 100m and he's more of an out and out striker.
  18. He's someone who's viewed as having a lot of potential in a market which lacks options. It's logical they'd be interested. I've said it before but in this PSR world we are in everyone is targeting the exact same profile of player (except the weirdos in Munich) this is why we see everyone chasing the same players and paying mad fees and wages.
  19. No, I don't think it is tbh. It's hard nosed business and I wouldn't expect anything less from an American billionaire owned club. It's quite simple. Isak is world class and they know they have some funds to do a deal and they have a free run. For ekitike he's similar but not the same it's a very expensive risk where as Isak and his skillset are as close to a sure thing as possible. Let's be clear here, PSR has provided clubs like Liverpool with so much protection they don't need to care about who we are owned by, what are we going to do?
  20. Its what we've been saying, sure they will take him if they have no other choice but let's no pretend he's the preferred option for them.
  21. He knows what Liverpool tell him Really makes sense why every time he's on the athletic podcast he's falling over himself to praise the backroom staff at Anfield and Arsenal in particular.
  22. Will allow it if we fill all the other holes though.
  23. It's all engagement farming man, they are making a ton. If you've noticed no matter any media outlet will always focus on the cartel clubs. Athletic do a daily podcast and seriously 4/5 of the episodes a week will be about cartel clubs no matter what. They have rabid online fan bases who will click on anything.
