Na; don’t get it confused this would be a massive blow for us.
-
Imagine how much money is needed to prize Gordon from us
-
Another absolute mentalist post.
-
Seems like they have been totally disingenuous with this attempt talking about promotion and relegation and completion when it’s just an attempt to circumvent those very things.
-
Aye, total closed shop and infinite revenue for them big clubs. It’s a total stitch up then. Qualification has to be based on domestic league performance, anything else is ruinous to football.
-
Both are true the whole thing is so twisted. The only thing that is true is the big clubs loathe competition because it threatens the bottom line and that to them is intolerable.
-
Is that confirmed? I take it the make up of the top leagues at formation will be decided by the them as well? and promotion and relegation within the system is based up on performance in the super league and not domestic competition? Basically a total decoupling? if so it’s a massive red flag and hard pass. Nothing has changed the revenue generated by those clubs would be corrosive as well would decimate domestic competition with FFP being a thing
-
That’s not the case. They don’t want to leave domestic competition.
-
For the clubs that join they will be leaving Uefa competition.
-
I think officially it’s Barca and real right? They are the ones desperate for it. so much for the socios and fan owned clubs eh?
-
And they still won’t be competitive even with this.
-
It will be a midweek competition. We don’t even know if it’s going to go ahead, they kept referring to it as a proposal and didn’t state a start date. it comes across amateurish tbh.
-
Given the massive lack of detail I’m not sure how you could say that. but never mind you aren’t a credible poster.
-
Without a doubt man, and that was my underlying point. If a split occurs Uefa completion is in big trouble imo.
-
Oh absolutely they could, I’m not sure why they would though. Im still quite perplexed how its meant to work. I’m guessing it’s crafty as in all the big boys in the star league and why it massive money forever. Especially if two clubs only get relegated and league position in the domestic league isn’t relevant.

https://twitter.com/JacobsBen/status/1737795115232460979 Uk gov threatening legislation to prevent British clubs joining. This is spicy.

Pif bought it no?
-
They are meant to be getting a bonus for being the founders.
-
Being custodians involves doing the best to safe keep the future of the club. Ultimately they have to react according to any change.
-
On fence like any prudent owners would be.
-
Don’t get me wrong, I think the initial proposal was rancid. But you would walk away from the club if they joined if it was the only competition in town in terms of European competitions?
-
The point I’m making is you had an established vs new money. New money tried to play nice got rejected and just pulled the cheque book and bought the whole thing. the same scenario would apply here. If a split happens Uefa clubs will bleed money and join. It’s just a matter of time.
-
Only game in town as in European football. I mean this shit show has money behind it. Ultimately football clubs need to bring in revenue of a split is to happen who will blink first? Its kinda like the PGA and Liv golf guess who won that?
-
Really that’s interesting, but the rules can easily be changed, especially if the new structure had 14 places spread over say 3 divisions? you know the saying? Money talks bullshit walks.
-
Not to defend this shower, but I wouldn’t unilaterally walk away if we joined mind. Obviously this situation is extremely turbulent and lacking in any detail. A future could exist whereby this league is the only game in town.
