  1. It’s better to just be in denial about how good they are

I think it’s practically impossible to do tbh. The game has shifted so much and all of the big clubs want to take these bets. FFP really shifted the dial which is why all of the so called big clubs are massive talent hoarders. Players who are playing in ECL as teens are generally going to go to elite clubs (which we aren’t yet).

Good good, because it’s unlikely we can get this lad as well.
  4. They will be fine, I think the thing they have to watch out for is keeping Watkins fit. If he gets injured things could really slide for them.
  5. Getting him on a 6 month loan with no obligation would be absolutely perfect for us. Experienced body to fill the gap left by Tonali. I know this sounds mad, but it’s probably all we will need come January 31st as well. December is the month we will suffer the most, think will ease off after that.
  6. Absolutely couldn’t agree more but I’m sure we will too. Wouldn’t be surprised if we both finished top 5 personally. both ourselves and Villa are better than we get credit for.
  7. I’ve got no idea if we will go for him or not, but I guess the temptation will be we’ve done all of our homework on him and scouted him extensively. I believe our ownership are too mature to act like jilted lovers and reject him because he didn’t join the first time. Our sights might be higher than him though
  8. Villa will be right up there, very good side with a very good manager.
  9. Another piece on the athletic about this, it’s Ollie Kay’s turn. Still struggling to understand why people don’t get this, the punishment is severe because it has to be. If it’s a fine good luck keeping us and city in line.
  10. And that’s the issue right, medium term means a couple of years. Given he won’t be cheap and his wages are decent it would likely be bad business to buy him. A loan without obligation sure but trying to sell a 30 year old for actual money won’t be easy imo.
  11. That’s true but we should be aiming higher than Kp long term imo. He’s barely kicked a ball for 2 years, let’s let Everton and west ham take these expensive gambles. We need more players in the Tino mould.
  12. Yeah but Philip’s will be 28. Good stop gap but not much more imo.
  13. Financials were bad, please don’t believe this rubbish. We are the only the club in the league during Ashley’s tenure to have flat revenue growth, a truly remarkable feet. Not to mention how he made us a toxic asset.
  14. Despite the media generated noise, I don’t expect much divergence from our usual planning come January.
  15. It’s far too many players at once coming into a totally dysfunctional set up with zero stability. told basically got a copy of Fm followed an online guide on how to make big money in football and tried it irl.
  16. Chelsea fans are mental if they thought they would come to us and win Our team is better and SJP is a fortress.
  17. The donkeys in this league not stopping us from getting him Imagine spending 1b and starting with Nicholas Jackson.

    Fabian Schär

Schar is better, Sven is an absolute monster and much better than he should be at his age mind but Schar is different class. he’s one of the best players in the league, media just haven’t cottoned on.
  19. Sky’s the limit for him, to do what he’s doing at 17 is fantastic. It’s the perfect time for both us and him he would have been squandered pre takeover.
  20. This kid is godly, he’s so good I don’t even have words for him.
  21. Cracking win that, turned up the pressure and that 1billion folded quicker than it was spent
  22. This years Guler :anguish:
  23. Don’t worry, Saudi will bail them out and pay daft money for him.
