  1. I was pretty decent, we won the schools league and cup in Leeds at u16 level with a very small pool of players. facilities matter a lot, we had an astroturfed pitch 2 minutes walk away which made a big difference. Grew up playing with Aaron Lennon and who was insane pre teens
  2. Sounds like @TBGsources to me
  3. Hope not, he looks electric to me. Could be a game changer for them.
  4. It sounds like they want to remain where they are but are open to everything which is the correct approach imo.
  5. Don’t worry lads, it’s teamtalk you can file it as bullshit.
  6. Precisely; the fake self righteousness is tedious at best. It’s funny how nobody was calling for these restrictions at the start of the season, not a peep out of the scouse when they offload very expensive deadwood which they wouldn’t have been able to do with out the good ole oil money. If they wanted to be fair, they would be against a mid season rule change which was proposed only to hobble a fellow member. let’s be frank here, they object to us because we have money, (which we can’t even spend lol). It doesn’t matter who our owners are, as long as we are richer than they want to take the toys home. It’s amusing we didn’t have this attitude when they were buying the league back in the 80’s.
  7. Thanks for posting this very good listen. Basically Everton we’re asking for additional allowances which were frankly optimistic at best, no wonder they lost.
  8. Man United reporter right? Must be feeling the heat.
  9. It is a bit of a none story, yes the Govt got the heads up first. And yes the saudis lobbied our Govt for approval. It’s nothing we don’t know.
  10. Your bottom of the league slant isn’t really Logicial, and big clubs absolutely can blitz the transfer market as we’ve seen Chelsea do. Chelsea can spend vast sums despite being much poorer than us because of FFP. Remember, FFP restricts competition at all strata so it I’m West ham, I can keep Bournemouth below me in the pecking order because I’ve tilted the deck to favour myself. As I mentioned in a prior post, if this was about sustainability or protecting clubs from going bust we could just have all owners in the league agreeing to underwrite any financial losses the clubs suffer personally and ban external debt (amongst other things). FFP like many other things nowadays is sold as something beneficial, but it’s actual aim is to protect the established order, as long as your a backwards looking football club you will be on board with it.
  11. The sob story is the subject of today’s athletic podcast. I’m still struggling to understand the actual grievance they have. although interestingly enough; according to Matt Hughes IF Chelsea and citeh are guilty thru are absolutely fucked.
  12. The club haven’t confirmed this appointment right?
  13. Nah, let’s stop giving up our ass for these pricks.
  14. As others have pointed out, if the goal was to stop clubs going bust we could have enforced directors guarantees and banned leveraged takeovers. The fact none of these are in place should tell you everything you need to know. Also, if your an owner who has less ambition than your fans FFP is fantastic.
  15. German league is hilarious if these goals are to go by.
  16. Fair point on that aspect, I think part of the reason they got off lightly domestically was due to them not wanting to actually leave the premier league.
  17. It isn’t though, they could have take further action to reduce the loss, also said loss was entirely self inflicted. you can’t have such rules without such enforcement. That being said, the enforcement should be much clearer and known ahead of time imo.
  18. Well yeah, unfortunately these legacy clubs have built revenue in line with the anti competitive rule set the league voted in. As I’ve said the clubs are eye absolutely stupid to vote in rules which restricted trade but let’s be honest; most of the owners are in it to make money which is why they went for it.
  19. Why do you assume this? If city and Chelsea get found guilty they will also get the Book thrown at them. This is pretty black and white
  20. Aye, depending on what happens to city and Chelsea and evertons appeal.
  21. The league are investigating both city and Chelsea, we can’t judge if the same rules are being applied fairly at this point.
  22. You might want to read up about what you’ve been up to before taking the word of your owners. I can’t even believe we are debating these points. CAS threw out your case because it was time barred, you kicked the can for so long UEFA couldn’t do anything. And yes, some of your many sponsors are names on paper with no business operations.
  23. I love how they are rattled by this, also the absolute complete ignorance of Havertz and how he should have been sent off Is remarkable.
