That was pretty much my conclusion after reading it. The internal doubts about PIF willingness to fund it are concerning mind.

Oh yeah they did exactly the right things tbh. They knew they couldn't compete under ffp without juicing everything so they juiced accordingly. To be fair to City they aren't the ones who have pulled the ladder up on us. They are so confident they have the best set up they are up for competition.

When your revenue is 700m mistakes don't matter.
-
They won't be, you still be subsidising some of it.
-
Given they will consult/inform if we are moving and they haven't yet does it mean we are staying ?
-
Will wait for confirmation from your sources.

This guy was in the documentary on those zoom meetings so he's been involved with the club since the takeover.
-
No they don't. Once they've sold him the first time he's classed as an academy player. Once they bought him back they amortized the fee like any other player.
-
His numbers are actually insane. His attacking output put him in the top 90% percentile then you look at his defensive contribution and it only drops off slightly. Madness.
-
Entitled to his opinion but seems a bit delusional. I hope he continues his prayers to the PSR gods because they are what's keeping his team relevant.

Exactly. This is why the rules and punishment were written in such an opaque way and also why Evertons initial punishment was so severe. It was a clear message to upstarts such as ourselves to not even think about it.

Imagine being this cunts neighbour.

We should have made a difficult choice in the summer and tried to move on Pope. His value is only decreasing and we've seen how important having a goal keeper who doesn't panic when the ball is at his feet is. We simply can't allow players to run down contracts and leave on a free. We have to sell players and preferably ones who are replaceable.

As I didn't watch the game I'm guessing having Botman and burn effectively shut down arsenal's corner threat?
-
Yeah but the rate of improvement is staggering.
-
It probably is different but this isn't something you say after a loss
-
Gutted I missed this now

Given they sold him and bought him back they won't benefit from the old selling an academy player ffp boost.

To be honest, despite my disagreements I think a lot of the hesitancy related more to the potential of moving elsewhere somewhere less central which is understandable. Obviously with the amount of unknowns and trade offers which we will inevitably have a lot of people would rather embrace what they know.

I think people should understand the atmosphere is created by those in the ground and not the ground itself. Sure you can design for better acoustics but you can't amplify silence.
-
Botman is better on the length side, he's very much filling in and doing a job. Let's not put round pegs in square holes.

I've been saying forever that these clubs hate competition. They also lack a sense of irony given a lot of them became established when no such rules existed. And the way forest got done was total bullshit on top of that. The rules penalised them being promoted as the allowable loss is much less in the championship.

Can see how Reform are making inroads with the way some people go on about overseas fans watching a game of football.
