  1. I'm struggling with this mind, you want him to clear out the players who the club brought in under his watch with the consistent narrative of "small pool of players". What does that look like exactly? Does the small pool of players suddenly become huge so a refresh is a piece of piss? Or was the small pool of players talk a load of bollocks?
  2. Popes been off since he did his shoulder again, ik not surprised his level has dropped personally. As for Wissa, we didn't clock he came for the pay day and are paying the price.

Absolutely, if anything the only question that should actually exist is why did we buy a player who couldn't be more unsuited to the way we play? I've got no time for this Eddie Vs Nick arguement I keep seeing honestly.
  4. Wouldn't mind a new poll. Do you want Eddie Howe to be charge next season? Yes No Undecided.
  5. They've always invested up to the maximum amount. They've literally put in 100's of millions
  6. Funny thing is, he's what 24? And he's had precisely one good full season His PR is amazing.
  7. Forest piling the pressure on spurs.
  8. Unrealistic. He's in Saudi because of the mad money, we can't compete with that.
  9. How reliable is your source for this? What they have a row about? Damming indictment of our squad building when Anthony Gordon is our best attacker.

Not sure, iirc his best run was inverting from the flanks @brummie will know better than me though. I think it's where we have a disconnect as a club though. Spending so much in fees and wages for someone to make up the numbers and then complaining about PSR is short sighted.

Absolutely, he's a good player I don't think anyone disagrees but the output is lacking. But I do feel for him, because he's not a central midfielder in a 433 and hasn't been throughout his career. he's yet another player I look at and wonder what is the plan here?
  12. He's just not very good, but we knew that already. Kicked the can and paid the price (again) it's a theme of ours.
  13. On the flip side, Bournemouth weren't at their best but they impressed me again. They are very well organised. They know when to press and when to drop despite the obvious limitations they have.

40m plus big premier league proven wages. He just isn't worth it as his output isn't enough. I think he's tidy and clearly a good player but his profile isn't one I'd attach a premium too.
  15. I've mentioned before but without knowing I do feel we have a bit of a player power issue like.
  16. Maybe, maybe not but you've watched us this season right?
  17. Why? He's shit and on a massive salary. Horrible allocation of resources
  18. Problem is, Liverpool only ever wanted to lowball us as they did with the rat.

The logic is alarmingly simple honest. They viewed Wilson has guaranteed premier league goals (hence why he had his own little training regime) and this for them it was of paramount importance we replaced that with (klaxon please) premier league proven goals. So our Wilson replacement shortlist looked like (wissa (older and cheaper) and strand Larsen (younger and more expensive). That is it, that is the logic which was at play. If you take a step back, the fault of the ownership isn't actually being slow replacing Eales (who would just sign off on payment) or Mitchell ( How anyone can blame Mitchell for this is beyond me) it is on enabling this absolutely silly behaviour which is what they did by sanction such stupidity. I do get it, they are basically asset managers and an expert told them Wissa was a sure thing. As I said when we signed him, he could only ever be considered a good signing if he guarantees champions league. He hasn't but he's proven to be worst than anyone's more dire prediction.
  20. Only one capable of managing the outsize egos at ego FC.
  21. I think the point being made, and one i agree with is distilled like this. We're there factors which are eternal to Howe: yes. Do said factors justify being in 14th to go with less than a quarter of the season to go? No. It's not that folk don't see the issues he's faced, it's the fact we've pissed away an unthinkable amount of money when we simply can't afford to, combined with football which is frankly boring, plus massive underperformance. I'm sorry but no genuine Newcastle fan is getting any pleasure out of wanting our most successful manager in 75 years sacked.
  22. Because the alternative is only slightly better. 4 wingers and you wouldn't bet on any of them dribbling around a man, rancid stuff.

We were that desperate to sign him not only did we get absolutely abused in a deal which would make trump blush, we also signed a dickhead despite our no dickhead rule.
  24. Didn't want to let yet another player we've paid money for walk away was the driving factor I think.
  25. Really appreciate all the insights you've shared about him. I think he's pretty unpopular however I can see the vision personally. That sponsorship deal to me was major as his mentality is the opposite of Silverstone's, plus if he's got more decision making ability than Eales had as the athletic reported then that's another major step forward.
