Manquillo left back Trippier right back? Or is Manq suspended? Trippier is our best player and should be played in his best position imo.

I think it would have been good to get him but at the same time I’m convinced we also have some decent plans for this window. It was mentioned in the press the club believes getting Trippier done was important to convincing other targets to join us. Digne isn’t the only game in town and was on the price side in terms of wages.

We have to wait and see, no doubt the January window is difficult to get things done in though.

I think to avoid relegation we need to fill the following positions: LB CB X2 Cm Cf x2 6 more players on top of Trippier, probably can get away with a back up loan option for the second striker. Seems like a big ask for owners.

Aye, he’s another player who wants to be an attacker as he has zero traits suited to the defensive side of the game. on another note, our very small experiment at buying young British players has been an unmitigated disaster. Murphy, Lewis and Wilock all don’t look cut out for the premier league at this moment in time.

ASM is a creator not a goal scorer. So playing up front the goal scoring threat has to come from elsewhere sadly Murphy and Fraser aren’t much of a threat either.

I thought we started well, some decent patterns of play in the first 25 minutes. After that it felt like the confidence and belief was drained away and Cambridge grew in confidence as a result of that. Once we conceded we were pretty miserable mind, didn’t see much of a plan apart from the long diagonal to Trippier. Embarrassing result certainly, I don’t think the overall performance was as bad as some are stating but it’s still far from being good enough.

To bring some positivity I thought he put in a couple of great corners which we were unlucky to not score from.
