I think this is harsh, ultimately Chelsea are investing more than clubs around them paying higher salaries and have been successful over the last 20 years. We all love to laugh at them but they have a lot of talented players who will improve under the right guidance.

Yeah they can do and say what they want, these people aren’t scouts they are fans of the club who watch the games and give ratings based on their own opinions. They are volunteers and not scouts.

If the backers are in it for the long term it won’t bite them, they can afford these contracts no issue. The contracts dished out in baseball are much larger for example and if I’m not wrong Boehly has been on a spending spree with the dodgers too.

Seems to hinge on the hotel sale which the PL still haven’t decided on.
