God I sound like a Paul Mitchell defender but I don't see in what way he left us in an awful position given he actually didn't spend any of our money. To me at least leaving us in an awful position would have been pissing away all of our psr manager whilst selling our best players. He left us in a neutral position in my book as he did basically fuck all. He was a gobshite but that's it. To be it's clear he upset the apple cart and was sidelined.

As you know a lot of factors exist for the summer window and one of the most depressing aspects of it is the if only we got x player when they were never coming here for a variety of reasons.

If you want to isolate it to one pure window you may have a point but such an argument would be rather silly.

Recruitment was poor (may come good in the future who knows) but psr is obviously a fact and designed solely to keep upstarts out of the big boy room.

With Trafford I see that, obviously it's a player we chased for far too long. I've got no issues with passing on Trafford personally mind I don't think goal keepers are a position a club with our ambitions should be developing. With JP we moved early and it was said he has no interest and wanted to play for a london club so that was always a none starter. (He's also not that good )

The speed of getting deals done isn't on Eddie that's for sure. But again being at the front or the que doesn't guarantee anything mind. I wouldn't at all be surprised if clubs waited for us to agree a fee and then moved. Save them the hassle or extensive negotiations. I think it should be obvious we have to do things differently, ie target younger players with high potential (none of what we bought this summer was particularly young) or go full moneyball. I'm not saying I have the answers but getting mugged off for another summer isn't something I want to witness again.

Maybe maybe not but if we believe we can sign premier league proven players and have first dibs we are utter delusional and need putting out of our misery. If they have any doubts they need to say goodbye in the summer. Giving him a summer to buy more players to bin him in October would be the worst possible thing we could do.

It was but that's football. Things rarely to exactly according to plan and despite everything it's Eddie's job to get the best out of the players he chose. Eddie has considerable mitigation for this season that should go without question however we've also underachieved in the league to date and this isn't acceptable given the amount of influence he has and the amount spent during his tenure.

Seems like big Joe was the only won who realised that such performances from all involved aren't acceptable in any shape or form. Some people have extremely low standards where as others like Big Joe aren't having it. I think the worst thing about all of this is, we simply have too much to do in the summer and I don't see a world where we get close to doing everything we need to. We, as a club have one defining trait in my eyes and that is putting things off but things are starting to reach a point where it's no longer possible to do so without falling backwards.

Thats the trend for us aye. We put a lot of focus on character and leaders but where are they? They've been MIA since after the cup final. We have so many issues throughout the entire club I don't even know where to start

Man city do what any well functioning club do. They best the goalkeeper they can afford because failing to do so costs a lot of points. If a nobody like James Trafford is upset by that he will just be moved ok to crystal palace and city will get paid and then take a piece of the next sale as well. Clubs like city care about winning and that's it. They got a sniff and absolute legend like KDB was finished and he was out of the door the next summer.

He's a scout who's been promoted to assistant head of recruitment and if reports are to be believed he headed up our disastrous incomings in the summer. Either way, and as I've maintained from the day. He shouldn't be an employee of Newcastle united. Let him make his way in the game elsewhere.

Wissa was poor judgement and absolute panic fuel. Ultimately we decided we would pay whatever it would take to get that premier league proven badge and walked out of the store with Wissa. Not going to stick the boot in, as mentioned before im long since over this lad and think it will be better for all parties he finds a club which can match his mentality. Arsenal would be the perfect match for him The fact he's one of our better attacker given his less than stellar output says a lot about our dysfunction and our ability to waste millions on underperforming players.
