  1. This is actually a great point you make. I wonder if it's because of inherent bias or is it the nature of his mistakes? A combination of all plus the feeling plus premier league proven tag maybe?

It can work for sure but not with our focus on wide patterns and pressing him. It just isn't his game. I actually think he should be a great tool against low blocks as he's capable of intricate play and does have a knack of finding space. I really like him personally he's got a lot of talent and will shine in a more controlled set up.

    Malick Thiaw

I love Fabi but his mobility is shot mind. Kind of alarming if people think he's better than Thaw. That isn't to take another away from Fabi who's probably my favourite centre half we've had. I think Thiaw is what @Curva Sud Milano told us he was. No shame in that he's very good but definitely has a mistake in him.

It's not so much him as the system needs to change and we have to focus attacks through him. He's a provider and shouldn't be relied upon as the main source of goals. Eddie's obviously not comfortable with that style and wants to play the transitions which obviously requires pace. The problem is Wolt is only suited to one style and offers nothing unless your playing through him which is tough given how PL teams will squeeze him aggressively.
  5. It's possible to break it however it requires the Saudis doing what they say instead of letting it drift. Given how slow they are, even if they are being honest about the ambitions they have will have to act quicker to realise them. We matched them for 75m% of this tie and the scoreline doesn't reflect the tie imo.
  6. It's cross honestly. Making the knockouts is basically the minimum in this format for English clubs. Awful format designed purely to line the pockets of the continent's biggest club whilst removing as much jeopardy as possible.
  7. Just watched this back with great joy. These clowns didn't lay a glove on us. I will never not laugh that Enzo cost them 100m what absolute mugs.
  8. Putting on concerts and NFL has zero impact on the football side, correlation doesn't equal causation and all that. Spurs have suffered from poor recruitment and essentially being pretenders. They have the revenue of a cartel club (with massive debt to boot) but the spending in terms of wages isn't in the same ballpark. They lack leadership throughout the club as well. The thing we have in common is neither us or them have an actual plan on the football side to compete for say CL and PL titles, we both know it's where we want to be but neither of us have a clue of how to actually do it.

Doesn't offer much respite either. The speculation just changes to whatever the release clause may or may not be.

    Yoane Wissa

Andy Howe didn't that's for sure
  11. Aye I wasn't meaning he's a bad player. I just think he's a step behind what we've got at the same age bracket.
  12. Indeed, but he's had time to get up to speed by now and still looks woeful. Fwiw I don't think Elanga has that much rope but at least he's put in a couple of decent performances I'm not sure the same can be said for Wissa. At this stage both are expensive mistakes mind.
  13. Because Wissa was the absolutely must come in and perform guy, we paid a massive premium for that and he hasn't delivered hence people having it in for him Not to mention the lack of perceived effort in some games.
  14. Yeah we obviously got unlucky/handled the Wissa situation poorly but it's one of those situations whereby we are trying to correct the previous issue (hanging on to Wilson too long) same mistake we are making with Pope. @LFEE obviously enjoyed our championship seasons a bit too much because following that mental suggestion would have ended up with us playing in it next season like.
  15. We hung on to Wilson for far too long is the real issue. The fact he left for free is apart of the same issue imo. Imagine a scenario we bought one striker and we got our usual 50% of the time for Wilson. Would have been even more if a disaster.
  16. Look even bleaker for this lot. Athletic are reporting a split in the squad with one player saying he doesn't care if they go down as he's leaving anyways https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7108170/2026/03/12/tottenham-leadership-group-relegation/?source=twitteruk Reeks of us in the past.
  17. Someone mentioned on here before we aren't competitive with our salary offers so I wouldn't be so sure about the funding: lol:
  18. We know, he was phoning it since after the league cup final.
  19. I see people keep mentioning gray but isn't he just a poor version of Miley? Never quite saw the fit for us personally.
  20. I agree with this but one position I fancy Eddie to get some improvement out of Is centre half. I Reckon Eddie would make him into prime VVD
  21. The athletic have a good piece on the finances of them it's well worth a read highlight was them budgeting 10 times less than what a landholder wants for some of the land
  22. Jackson is also pretty bad but he at least has that pace to run in behind. You roll the rice at 30m but Chelsea wanted 70m
  23. We can't get that with just 2 years left but it's the kind of fee we should have been shooting for yesterday. I always use Gvardiol as a benchmark who city paid 90m euro for. And he came without England caps without PL experience etc.
