  1. I bet City fans will clamour for Mancini back after this like
  2. What Lahm is doing tonight is exactly what i want Anita doing for us.

depends, some will work under Ashley, considerably less (ie next to none imho and no one of any actual talent) will agree to work with Kinnear in charge of "recruitment" Most teams on the continent use a DOF system though and i doubt many on the continent have ever heard the name Joe Kinnear. I just feel it's overblown that's all. A manager can further both his career and his bank balance at NUFC. they can do some basic research before taking the role and discover what a moron he is and change their mind, or just spend 5 minutes talking to him to find out. And Ashley won't appoint any continental manager. How would you happen to know this? precedent he hasn't before and its hard to see him starting now, it will either be JFK or one of JFK's mates It's far from certain IMO but I can see your point.
  4. The thought of Pardew trying to implement a 3-5-2 really is disturbing. Personally I think we actually need to give the 4-3-3 a proper go.

Am I the only one that doesn't subscribe to the often floated theory of: "No manager will work under Ashley/Kinnear"?

As unrealistic as it sounds id cry of happiness if we got Bielsa

Would take Di Matteo asap. You see, for me, I'd prefer to take a punt of a foreign manager on the off chance they turn out to be decent. I'm not sure RDM or GP are going to take us significantly further forward. Are they capable of changing cultures? Of embedding an ethos and style throughout a side? I'm not sure they are. I'm not sure anybody that's readily available is to be honest. More capable than Pardew. Pardew has no reached his ceiling he struck the lottery when he was gifted our club.
  10. My team: Krul Debuchy Mbiwa Colo Dummett Anita Moussa Cabaye Ben Arfa Remy Gouff Anita role is simple cover the fullbacks/midfielder and come and take the ball of the centre backs and distribute it (like he did for Ajax)

Science and Sunderland are mutually exclusive though.

You use the word "Merchandise" loosely their I see
  14. Aye our commercial and PR departments are clearly non existent.
  15. Christ! I can't unsee that. If that line up does come to fruition I see a meltdown occurring on here. What a horrible side that is.
  16. Shock Horror! I don't think anyone expected anything other than this. It's good to see the club bullshit being exposed, too bad we don't see any such work from the Chronicle etc.
  17. Aye let's retreat against Cardiff ffs. Funnily enough i'm rather looking forward to seeing how Pardew reacts. While i expect him to go into his shell and go defensive, he might just think sod it. If i'm getting sacked i might as well give it a go. It'll definitely be interesting. Hopefully he'll see that he had started to get it right against Villa (and to some extent Hull) and the problems got worse when he tried to just stop the opposition. I hope so too gents. The everton game wasn't the first when we played 2 holding midfielders and still got our asses handed to us. I wonder if Pardew putting such emphasis on everyone we play affects the mind state of our players a little too much. Personally speaking I'd like to see us pick a formation and style of play which suites us and stick to it. All of this chopping and changing can't help a already unsettled squad.
  18. Williamson lumps it when he's not even pressed and has passing options. He's the most blinkered player I've ever seen to be honest.
  19. 5 for me. I fear the worse whilst we have Pardew in charge though.
  20. TBh relegation in the short/long term may be a blessing in disguise if Ashleys revenue stream suffers and he trys to sell actively We thought this the first time around and nothing materialised. Club is pretty much un-sellable whilst it's straddled with that debt, interest free or not.
  21. World class though. He was hardly the inventor of diving was he. It's apart of the game and personally I'd happily see our players show such a will to win even if it meant deceiving the referee.
  22. You still going on about Forster leaving? He said unless he was going to be first choice he wanted to leave. I take it you'd have had him as number 1 over Krul? Let it go. He's long gone. Two posts = going on? Was merely commenting on his good performance tonight. I like to see our ex lads do well.
