It's not a lack of effort, he's just extremely naive defensively both in his decision making and positioning.

He hasn't brought his goal keeping coach we are stuck with Simon Smith. I look forward to seeing us tactical competent for the first time in seemingly forever.

Rafa is about the system and putting components into the system which makes it function. He's system work well on the whole so I'm fully behind whatever team he selects.
