  1. We've played right into chelsea's hands mind We've allowed them to play our from the back with ease and boss the game without any sort of trouble. If this is how "back to basics" looks it's going to be a long slog until the end of the season.
  2. Maybe it's frustration from MYB. After all he left his hometown club as capitain to be our 4th choice centre half. Also it's not like it matters, the comeback was never on.
  3. All he can do is play it back and have our full back lump it forward which sounds like a great ploy. The problem is we don't have a fucking Pivot player. Also HBA can't effect the game from half way inside his own half ffs.
  4. Try explain that in tactical terms to those who defend Pardew
  5. We don't even look like a football team tbh. This is really pathetic stuff from us.
  6. We've been poor in the first half, Chelsea really haven't had to try or work hard for anything. We haven't kept the ball and we also haven't retained our shape. I'd call it a poor first half personally.
  7. To be fair our movement is no existent and the fact we drop off so far means we can't get out as Chelsea just push up and compress the play While true he keeps making f***ing dreadful passes forward that go straight to their players, even with s*** movement there's no excuse for it. But he makes us tick. Sissoko has been worse though. He should but he's not doing it today or last weekend for example. He should be our pivot player but it seems he's being asked to get forward and support the attack hence the mindless forward runs. Again as many have said before in a 4-2-3-1 you need two good holding players hence why José went out and bought Matic before buying a striker he needs as well.
  8. He's no better than Ben Arfa according to some on here, like. Best player in the league atm IMO.
  9. To be fair our movement is no existent and the fact we drop off so far means we can't get out as Chelsea just push up and compress the play That sounds familiar. As you know, Until we bin Pardew this will always be an issue. He doesn't understand the basics of football despite some peoples belief he's a decent manager/coach.

  11. Why lump it to De Jong when he has no support ffs? I hope Krul gets a game for Holland so I can see if he does this bullshit for them as well.
  12. We have so many players back yet their always seems to be oceans of space in front of our back 4
  13. Clear it and give it right back to them for them to start over? Seriously we may as well just play 11 defenders and have done ffs.
  14. Too bad he's unable to make that formation work.
  15. In http://img.thesun.co.uk/multimedia/archive/01591/pard_1591800a.jpgwe trust.
  16. This lol. Why did we even buy him? No Marv either
  17. Too bad he's gone backwards during his time here. Well Barry and Bale struggled as left backs and it was only when they adapted to midfield and more centrally that they showed respective international and world class quality. Obviously if this is a defensive strategy it is a bad one, but if it is a chance to develop Santon it could be a good move. Santon only ended up at left back by chance anyhow. Maybe against Mourinho he will get a chance to establish a new better position. In the case of Barry he's a more intelligent player. As for Bale he's a devastating attacking threat santon isn't

  19. Play santon central midfield sounds like a wonderful idea /s
  20. Aye...it was all part of Pardew's lull them into a false sense of security for 70 minutes tactic and then attack for 20. It was a genius masterplan for two reasons. 1) When the 70 minutes mark came, Benfica would be completely surprised but be too tired to do anything about it and 2) We would conserve energy for the next league game despite it being an unimportant one against whomever. Simple but f***ing ingenious. It's the reason why manager of the year accolades were bestowed upon him. Don't get me started on the stupidity of that whole charade
