I thought this was a Sunderland thread The mighty Exeter dispatched in a 9 goal thriller. Man City next
-
If we get him I'll walk to London to collect him. Although another striker would be a great addition it shouldn't be our priority. After what I watched on Saturday a creative midfielder and a left back who actually knows how defend above the ability of a 9 year old would be a start. Oh..... and a central defender that isn't in his forties.

Normal service is resumed

He's absolute dogshite. I'm glad to see the of back him. One of the most frustrating players I've ever seen in a Sunderland shirt, considering he does have the required skills, but the brains of a donkey.
-
We couldn't make a decent team out of both of them at the minute. We've never had so many poor players when we've both been in the top flight.

The Nufc bald man wrestles the comb from the Safc bald man and triumphantly holds it aloft.

No, not at all. I was happy before he was charged, but not now. He should be suspended on full pay until after the court case. I'm also not happy with him being labelled a peado by people who have no knowledge of the facts, but that's the way of the internet I suppose.

I will......after a derby defeat
-
Actually you looked safe as houses when Pardew was in charge. I'll settle for the bragging rights on the derby games for now, especially as I was convinced we'd be relegated when Poyet was playing for 0-0's every game I'm pretty chuffed Hull have gone, the bastards have tortured us the last two seasons. I must give a mention for Jonas. So pleased he got the goal today, he comes across as a very decent bloke....best of luck to him. Looking forward to next season already

Their biggest success imaginable would be our relegation - sad, bitter and obsessed t***s who have more topics on us than they do their own team. Pathetic thing is it's not just the message board SMBs either it's the vast overall majority who are more concerned with us than their own team. It's mental like. My mackem mate is constantly comparing everything Sunderland, with us. Every player they sign he's straight onto "He's better than anything you have in that position". Instead of being happy he might be an upgrade on what they already have in their squad. Like, when we signed Cabaye I was happy he was an upgrade on Nolan, for the simple fact he could actually run. But I didn't think "Better that Catts like". It's everything the city, the airport, the quayside, the bars and not only the football. I've never known any mackem who is not bitter or obsessed about all things to do with Newcastle - the most pathetic and sad set of pricks going and it's not the minority either it's every SMB f***er. Can honestly say I'm not obsessed with all things Newcastle. I lived there for three years, I enjoy going out on the drink there. I went to University there. I wouldn't say I was obsessed though. Me neither. I love going to Newcastle especially with my kids, it's a great city. As is Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, London etc.

Any Sunderland fan who thinks we're safe needs a slap. 11 points from the last 15 has given us a fighting chance though, so I'm reasonably pleased. My mood may be very different after the Arsenal game.
-
I'd love to see Hull go down. They've took so many points of us, and knocked us out of the FA Cup, over the last two seasons. I said all along that you lot would be safe, and I'll stick by that. We must win against Leicester next week, otherwise we're back in the sh*t.
-
I still can't see you lot going down. You only need one more win, although Carver doesn't seem to helping matters with his meltdowns. Poor leadership. The last thing the crew of a sinking ship need to see is the captain running around in a state of blind panic. Our only hope is Hull go back to being absolute dogsh*t and we pick up at least another 4 points. I can't see it but there's always a glimmer of light after what happened last year.
-
I fear this will come back to bite us* in the arse. *I suspect the majority of Sunderland fans are, like me, against this stupid idea.
-
I wouldn't bet on Sunderland winning either of those tbh. Me neither

The only reason Ashley isn't selling Newcastle is because he hasn't been offered enough money for it. He'll keep it until he gets the right offer and I can't see any protest making one scrap of difference to him. He's shown in the past that he has skin like an elephant, he didn't get this far in business by being a pussy cat. NUFC posted an £18.5 million profit this year. That figure is likely to rise when the new TV money comes in. Protest all you want, if it were my club I would, but the fat man is going nowhere..................yet.

Scraped a 1-0 win thanks to a goal that should never have come about (freekick wrongly awarded) and managed to avoid two decent penalty shouts plus our striker putting it a couple of inches over the bar. Long way for your lot to go. I still think you'll be dropping come May. Enjoy the day. Seriously? Your lot were a shambles today. They were second best in every department and deserved nothing from the game, and we are a poor poor team. The best team on the day won, even the most ardent Mag would admit that.

I'm relatively sober as I'm at work tomorrow so it's a strange experience for me. That was a well organised performance but not spectacular from Sunderland. If I was a Newcastle fan I'd be gutted at the pitiful effort your team put in. Second best in everything in a derby? It reminded me of our showing in the 5-1. They only really threatened in the last 10 minutes. 3 more points in the bag and we move away from the drop zone for now. I'm more confident than I was 4 weeks ago, but I'm still not convinced we'll stay up.
-
That's true against Villa but I thought they put a shift in against West Ham.
-
Have I missed something? Not arguing about which is the better city? It's Newcastle, and any Sunderland fan that says otherwise clearly hasn't been to Newcastle. Oh, and the Empire is the biggest theatre between Manchester and Edinburgh, that's why it gets all the big West End shows. Let's get back to football, or at least what passes for football in the North East. Normally I'd be happy with a draw on any derby day but we desperately need a win. So being Sunderland we'll probably get beat. If we do we're as good as down because I'm certain Burnley will finish above us. Hopefully it'll be relatively trouble free, otherwise we'll have Northumbria Plod saying 'Told you so'

And the circus continues. It's such a f**king car crash of a club that I've finally lost the ability to care. I've been desensitised to the point of almost complete apathy. :'(

I was going to go away for Easter but changed my mind. What a stupid f**king idea that was If you lot can't beat us when we are this terrible then you never will. How Poyet is still in charge is baffling, it's worse than it was under MoN or Mrs Doubtfire, yet he's still there
