Talking up the assets now as well - fucking hell he really is the boards wet dream isn't he? I hope the cunt suffers a stroke.

Surely the lack of financial incentive would be enough to force his hand though? No massive tv revenue, no large transfer fees to skim etc. The only two things that are gunna get him to sell up is a silly offer from a billionaire (which doesn't look likely) or a massive drop in revenue (relegation). The 2nd one is more likely. We could contribute to the drop in revenue by not attending but there's no appetite for it. For one I'm ashamed that our fanbase has demonstrated such apathy and a willingness to take it up the arse from Ashley. We should have stopped putting our arses on his seats and our money in his pocket a long time ago.

Will it be better in the Championship? The year we spent down there was one of the most enjoyable in the last 15 years as a fan for me. Winning every week, playing some great football and away from the burning glare of the premiership it allowed us to take stock and focus on what was happening on the pitch. Halcyon days. Even if we went down and didn't come straight back up, would it be such a bad thing?

Aye, grim. Could sense Charnleys hand up his arse working his mouth. He'd stab his mam to get that job.

Fucking hell, he couldn't be further up the boards arse. He can see what they're trying to do here apparently, can't explain it to the fans like but he can see what they're trying to do. What a cunt.
  13. http://www.foot-sur7.fr/214507-asse-transfert-galtier-trs-peu-de-doute-sur-son-dpart-newcastle Link to another article is anyone can speak any French. Interestingly enough he's 140/1 on betfair. Surely worth a tenner?
  14. Of course. But Tony Pulis could do that. I fear we'll just settle for "better than Carver" - which is a low benchmark I fear we'll settle for 'Carver' which is absolutely rock bottom. You are most definitely not alone in that fear. You can already see the writing on the wall, press are seemingly pushing for him to get it, won't whinge at the amount of money invested in the team etc. Sad state of affairs.
  15. That's true enough. Seems La Parisien is also running with this story. May have legs. Fits the bill - got ASSE up to 4th spending virtually nowt.
  16. No doubt Ryder will be on Twitter later denying it and talking up Charver.
  17. My mrs has just done a "who's that then?" At his picture.
  18. French sources today say we're talking to galtier.
  19. McClaren would be such an anti climax of an appointment. Another English plodder to add to the list of whoppers we've had since Bobby.
  20. Old friend of mine who died 5 years ago had it right and he had been following the club since before WW2 ; he said they might as well knock the place down and build flats on it. Can't see a better alternative in the foreseeable future. That's bollocks though. Ashley won't be here forever, that's one thing we can be sure of. The way I see it, the club is in a coma rather than dead. Like KK said, one day we will get our club back. It's agonizing waiting for it though. My biggest fear is that by the time we get the club back the damage inflicted will be too great to rectify. I also believe that before he does sell - he'll hold an "everything must go" style fire-sale. Putting it mildly he'll probably leave us in a worse condition than when he bought us
  21. They've already broken me. I truly hope we get relegated every year to the point of irrelevance - only then do I feel the fat man will leave us in peace. Burn the place down, salt the earth and start again.

Longest two weeks I've ever seen. Has he played since the city game?
