It almost like a bad zombie film where the lead character can't put his bitten Mrs out of her misery. Ya can dress the slag up as much as you want, play happy family's and pretend nothing is amiss - newsflash - it ain't ya Mrs anymore! She doesn't care about you, she wants to eat you for every scrap of flesh you've got on your miserably loyal carcass and move on to the next mug. I may be over using imagery but it's as good a comparison I can think of. I really can't get my head round people who won't miss one game. It's beyond being an awkward bastard. Selfish doesn't even begin to describe it. Fans like that deserve every bit of Ashley/Carver/Shit signings that will come their way should they remain apathetic.
-
It's comments that this that make me believe that the protest is doomed to fail. Ya get the sense that a lot of fans would attend even should they arrive home from work to find half the first team squad in bed with their wife, Carver taking a poo in the sink and Ashley putting all their blue ray discs in different boxes.
-
The way he's been talking lately in regards to the summer window, it wouldn't suprise him either. What a fucking joke.

Just stuck a lazy tenner on Eastlake for the win

Surely the scanners in the turnstiles are what determine total amount? If the stadium is half-empty (doubtful, but I think, tactically, it's still the correct method of protest) - but the club try and claim it as 49k, it will make them look an even bigger joke. AO.com are going for the visual and I pray to God they successfully shepherd the sheep into making a significant statement. If remotely successful the boycott vs spurs will be a real visual message mind If its Visually successful it'll have an impact, but the club will always try and play that down. really hope this has some affect. probably going to be the first step on a long road, but nice to see a group willing to do something about it. They're f***ed with it being on Sky like, they can bullshit all they want but sky will be talking about it before kick off in build up and if there are swathes of empty seats lies just won't cut it. Imperative that it works tbh. If the apathetic majority turn out (as per fucking usual) we've not a chance of forcing Ashley's hand. It'll be really interesting just to see what we are made of. In my heart of hearts I hope that the Derby has kick started the idea that something has to be done, on the other the predictability of our fans is there for all to see. Ashley could piss on our mothers Sunday dinner and we'd still attend games and thank him for the opportunity to do so.
-
He's not going anywhere because the conditions are conducive to him staying. We remove our arses from the seats and start to show him and his cheap tatty brand up on a global scale and I'd say the goal posts have just been moved. An empty stadium will hurt him, his brand and anyone looking to advertise/sponsor the club. Once the money starts drying up, he'll soon find a buyer.

Interesting article, thanks very much kind sir. I can't quite believe I missed that - I heard ne'er a peep about it. Some interesting parallels, but some cautionary tales too - I can see Ashley reacting to a bocyott, especially if it was unwisely only planned for one game, the same way the Lazio president did - i.e. by completely ignoring it. It should also be noted that the mess AC were in was due to their funding being cut off, necessitating a change with or without a boycott. There appears to be no such pressing need for Ashley, and there likely never will be without relegation. It was nice to note the call for protest actually seemed to underestimate the public feeling - it seems to have assume many would still attend, therefore it asked them simply not to sing. Follow up piece here from a few days ago, if anyone's interested: http://www.thenational.ae/sport/football/berlusconi-family-plan-to-sell-ac-milan-shares The amount of effort you are putting into trying to quash any hope for change or ideas for action is intriguing. It's having zero effect, mind. That ship has sailed. Its nigh time that the fans took a stand. It's ok saying it wont achieve anything, if it's half arsed it may just be the case that it won't but doing nothing is definitely wont change anything! If Ashley wants to use the club as a marketing tool let's poison the well. Lets boycott all televised games and show the world how f***ed we are that the club is being run like a cheap tat shop. He want's maximum exposure for Sports Direct, we need to flip that on its head and make NUFC a brand that no one wants to associate themselves with whilst Ashley is in charge. People who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are doing it. -George Bernard Shaw It is a great quote. Thats the bugger, I took it out as I didn't think I did it justice.

Under Ashley I sincerely hope we get relegated multiple times. Knock the the f***ing club down, salt the earth and start again. It isn't the same club I fell in love with as a little lad, it's an exercise in futility even supporting them. As long as we stay in the league and he skims the tv money he's happy. A f***ing plague on the supporters that keep blindly attending, I'm sorry but they're the reason we keep getting dry bummed. I wonder how much of a f***ing great advert it'd be for sports direct to have an empty f***ing stadium for 2 or 3 televised games. We've not the bottle for it though. Deserve everything we f***ing get.

The Mail had him top in a list of worst signings of the season. Tbh I wouldn't disagree with them for once. Absolute shocker of a player.

^^^^^^^This We won't even show up. They'll tonk us and it'll kick start their recovery. As per fucking usual. -
Two wins in eleven, complete malaise throughout the entire club, players being sold for less than their worth and Carver to take the job full time. And we'll still keep attending games. Read a cracking article in the mag which contained the brilliant line "if the body snatchers have taken your nan, it's ok for you to stop going round for tea"
-
Don't even joke. Could you imagine? f***ing hell. Full on riot. At least summat like that may stir us into action!
-
Imagine if they got Remi Garde  We'd go fuckin apeshit
-
We can laugh but I think most of us would have him here in a heartbeat. Over Carver? Fuckin too right. I'd carry the big Dutch bastard here on my own back. Don't ya just know they'll appoint a new coach the week before the Derby and give them a fucking massive boost.
-
They always fucking manage to salvage summat. Knowing our luck they'll install a new manager the week before the derby and hey presto, ride new manager syndrome to another win. Oh well, I'll still enjoy MOTD later
-
Forgive me but didn't Andersson, cordone and cort all errrrm well. . . score? For me he's absolute dog shit.
-
Quite possibly, struggling to think of many worse.
-
Talking up the assets now as well - fucking hell he really is the boards wet dream isn't he? I hope the cunt suffers a stroke.
-
Surely the lack of financial incentive would be enough to force his hand though? No massive tv revenue, no large transfer fees to skim etc. The only two things that are gunna get him to sell up is a silly offer from a billionaire (which doesn't look likely) or a massive drop in revenue (relegation). The 2nd one is more likely. We could contribute to the drop in revenue by not attending but there's no appetite for it. For one I'm ashamed that our fanbase has demonstrated such apathy and a willingness to take it up the arse from Ashley. We should have stopped putting our arses on his seats and our money in his pocket a long time ago.
-
Will it be better in the Championship? The year we spent down there was one of the most enjoyable in the last 15 years as a fan for me. Winning every week, playing some great football and away from the burning glare of the premiership it allowed us to take stock and focus on what was happening on the pitch. Halcyon days. Even if we went down and didn't come straight back up, would it be such a bad thing?
-
We start hounding him out from tomorrow. No if ands or buts. Get on his back from kickoff. This cunt is pardew mk II.
-
I also noticed he said that he wanted the defence to get it through to the men up top as quickly as posible, in other words - HOOOOOOOOOOOF BALL!
