Even under Rafa, as long as Mike was here that was the ambition It wasn’t Rafa’s ambition though. He wasn’t tagging along, as opposed to your Bruces and your Pardews. Rafa had a long-term vision of progress, and a plan to get there. Big difference.

Used him quite a lot on the side in a forward 3 as well as one of 2 forwards, and also as an attacking midfielder I think.

I don't think he's shit, I think there's a pretty good player there, but he doesn't work in the role Bruce has given him. And now his confidence is shot.
