They can't defend either. That's why they haven't won a World cup and never will. To be honest, they only ever get moves to clubs in Europe because they are big, strong and fast. Imagine if they just did running instead, Africa would dominate the Olympics man. Wasting themselves playing footy.

This is as silly as Odin's posts tbf.

Woody; fair enough as he barely played for us. He was class though. Dyer and Robert were about the same in terms of quality and importance. Solano definitely more consistent and was important for a long period of time.
-
Forgot Bellamy. He was definitely better than Robert for us.

I could easily name 10. But yeah, never 20. Please go on... Off the top of my head, I'd say Shearer, Beardsley, Ferdinand, Cole, Lee, Speed, Cabaye, Batty, Given, Solano, Dyer, Woodgate, Albert and possibly Coloccini and Ba have been better for us. EDIT: And Ginola too. Tino wasn't bad either...

There's having favourite players and that but Robert doesn't belong alongside those two like. Not going to argue it with you or anything, I just can't see how you'd have Robert alongside those two and that's before getting onto having him ahead of the likes of Lee and Cole.

Similar to Ben Arfa that way, extremely gifted but inconsistent and didn't always make great decisions on the pitch.
-
Think he's half a step above those. He's definitely a better player than all of those. He's our best player since Robert. Robert wasn't even the best player in Sir Bobby's team.

He's always looking for the forward pass. Complete opposite to Colback.

Although I agree, it's frustrating to feel that with a better manager we could be so much more than "very decent".

... Absolutely nothing. HUH! Say it again

Diego Maradona, who used to play for Sevilla.

They always are, utterly s*** without fail Howay man lads. Credit where it's due. At least be balanced. It's what I think. He is extremely cautious and imo makes selection mistakes week after week, be it starting 11 or subs. At least he only makes 1 or 2 selection mistakes rather than 5 or 6 like Pardew.

It was a great pass, it reminded me of Veron who used to play for Man Utd, he used to be able to play those sorts of passes all the time. Aye, thanks for that Christ.

Feels like a huge win.

Shelvey absolutely bossing the game.

I like Shelvey already. Someone who can actually pass the ball.

It doesn't make any sense. We've made a point of playing Colback along with some other knacker all season for the sole purpose of protecting the defence as alone none of them were good enough (until Tiote last 2 games). Now we've signed a DM we decide not to play him It's completely bizzare, by all accounts Shelvey doesn't get involved in the defensive side, so we've just abandoned the horrendous two DM strategy the minute we sign an actual DM. Maybe that contract thing is true, it's baffling how he can start every game The vast majority of professional coaches think very conservatively. McClaren may well be planning on playing Saivet long term but it's not a surprise that Colback starts today instead of the new guy. It's s s***, annoying decision, but it's not a long term one yet, imo. Aye.
