    ...you'd describe this: http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8082/8378160746_8072231671_z.jpg
  3. When seeing the question it's a no-brainer for me, rather support a mid-table side with tradition than a brand name. But at the same time, during the Ashley era it feels like we've been re-branded in a way, it's certainly not the club I started supporting as a bairn. When the stadium name was changed, I was pissed off and disgusted, but it never occured to me that I should stop supporting Newcastle. Ashley, Pardew, Kinnear, Sports Direct Arena, Wonga, no ambition, I'm still here. Fucked for life, couldn't switch teams even if I tried. It's easy to say you just wouldn't care about a red & white Newcastle Red Bulls team, but if they won the Champions League I'd probably celebrate. In shame. Where do you draw the line? Is Newcastle Red Bulls playing in black & white ok? Newcastle United in red & white? Black & white away tops? Absurd questions, but we've undeniably accepted a whole lot of shite already.
  4. He's actually called Leslie, I think.
  5. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Robben is a way better player Depends completely how you look at it. Ribery offers more throughout the pitch, Robben is more dangerous in the final third. If I had to pick one player in my team of the two it would be Ribery every day for what he offers both ways. This, pretty much. Ribery is certainly not overrated, just a different, more versatile player than the players he's often compared with. Great player.
  6. The 4-4-2 is so much better than the 4-5-1 for this type of match. Gives you a real chance on the counter. A 4-5-1 would have the team chasing shadows all the time. Get a break in a 4-4-2 and there's options galore. Its more of a 433 than 442, just with the top three rotating a lot In defence it's been 4-4-2.
  7. Terrifying? It's hopeful. The Cardiff game is terrifying.
  8. You mention that season like it's a paranthesis, when in fact it was a significant over-achievement and great time for the club. Pardew deserved at least one more season after that one.
  9. Most fans have recognised he's not a good manager, it's just that there's no warranty that the next one will be better. We've reached a point now where that doesn't matter to most, we just want him out.
  10. They deserve to go with him to his next club. Fucking hell.
  11. I'm sorry man, but self-righteous doesn't even begin to describe what you wrote there. I've wanted him out for a long time as well, and yeah I guess that Reading game was something of a turning point. But at the same time I've appreciated the concern for another managerial change, considering our history and especially our clueless owner.
  12. Jumpers. This is not a football club.
  13. It's not what you do, it's who you are. Deep. That's how they like to play, aye.
