Gaƫl Bigirimana rejoins Coventry on a permanent basis
Collage replied to Fenham Mag's topic in Football
If we don't go down it will be more of the same, the club will put out bullshit, they'll appoint another stooge, probably bring in a few players during the transfer window then we'll be back where we started and the whole cycle of s*** will start all over again. When will people learn? Not if the protests/boycotts continue. And as to whether relegation would increase the possibility of Ashley selling up, I'd say that's open for debate. -
We've got Sammy as well. Slightly better option than Obertan and Gouffran at least.
-
"One consideration was the former England boss Steve McClaren but the Chronicle understands that option was shelved when the club decided that a new voice could cause too much disruption."

Great posts Gino14, Kasper and Wullie. My view is that football in Britain is anti-intellectual (generally, of course there are exceptions). Reminds of this in "Mike Bassett - manager", at 0:22.

I feel like I've got a month to live. How will I spend my last days as a practicing Newcastle fan? Aye, that's about it.

It'll be someone who can accept to work with Carver as his no.2. Exactly, no one. It'll be Carver.
-
I think it's probably more that McClaren turned us down so we're stuck with Carver for now and they've had to put a brave face on it. Yep. No one will take the job though, so it'll be Carver. Someone will probably take it in the summer, but whether they're respectable or not is a different issue. Nah, they'll just sign a few players and keep JC.

Like that crest. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/e/e0/Newcastle_bluestar_badge.png

Hundreds of teams play in black and white. Crest would not have to resemble the NUFC one that much. Name - surely a team based in Newcastle can be called Newcastle something?
-
I don't even know if I want us to be relegated or not.

Following the result at Leicester City on Saturday, there has been two days of frank dialogue with John Carver and senior players. The outcome of those discussions is that the board, John Carver, his staff and players are absolutely focused on our current situation and the three hugely-important fixtures that remain this season, two of which are at St. James' Park. All parties accept responsibility for the current situation but are determined, together, to ensure this Club - your Club - retains its Premier League status. That is the only focus at this time.

"Journalism". Seriously, wtf is that?
-
Yeah, so Carver will stay whether we go down or not. Really nothing to look forward to until Ashley fucks off. I think I'm done.
-
Make it a contest, who can tear down the most S***** Direct signs?
-
No, it just means that until he's out, we're out. In that case I don't really understand the motivation behind the whole project. Yes, it may be possible to hound Ashley out, but who knows how long it will take and at the end of the day Ashley decides when to sell. The club has been a part of people's everyday lives for over a hundred years, Ashley has taken that away. We have to set up our own club, while still working to force Ashley out. One need not exclude the other.
-
It surely isn't. It's not even a football club anymore.

No, it just means that until he's out, we're out.

Someone could still be coming in as head coach though. Not that I believe it.

well, given the toon badge is a take on the city coat of arms yes. Having red not a problem for me, the retro kits with red numbers are the best imo However topics like this detract from constructive talk about the hard part. Getting started! Exactly. Should be black and white stripes though
