  1. the Redbirds talk about Phillips like he’s a competition winner that they’re proud of anyway. File under big lad.
  2. Depends on the sort of player. If we’re talking about getting players on the basis of being big lads who can handle a windy night at stoke then aye fair fucks. If it is, don’t sign slow Fannies who will get bullied every week, well that is the nature of a relegation battle.
  3. Every time I see this lad he says at least one thing that makes me think he’s never seen a game of football in his life. ‘Their best players play out wide, like Ryan Fraser’. Picks Ritchie in every team. Wants us to sign utter shit. Good production but the underlying football brain is suss.
  4. ASM has his own tape assistant, tape sponsor, and is releasing a series of educational videos on how to accessorise with tape and bandages.
  5. Loan move for VDB would be great, get the fucker done
  6. From that analysis website that had the profile on ekitike Lines up fairly convincingly with the names that have been bandied around for forwards
  7. He has been poor for them. Has a reputation based on being young and English.
  8. It’s impossible to call one way or another until the end of the window and see the business in total. But if it ended with the current players + Phil Jones we’ve got serious, serious bother to attend to.
  9. If he was ready or good enough he’d have played by now. Good luck to the kid out on loan.
  10. Sometimes it’s just, I don’t want him but I want him to do well anyway but I don’t think he will and if he does then fair fucks
  11. At least they’ll always have Quinny and Bally
  12. This is like getting an invite into some upper class sex party app and getting inside and turning around and everyone is Michael Gove
  13. Yeah let’s give Reims 40m to keep this lad I’ve never heard of and who has sparked discussion of the relative merits of Shola
  14. Is it looking good? Not really no, Cambridge seems to have nuked a lot of the good stuff. Is it a total disaster? Not really no, there are still about 20 days left to sign footballers. I wonder how many of these deals aren’t happening because PIF don’t like the price and how many aren’t happening because the player won’t come.
  15. Shola was unplayable for two games a season and chronic the entire rest of the time, it was an enigma wrapped in a puzzle entombed in a riddle
  16. Someone needs to come up with a strong etiquette/finishing school pun for when he scores goals
  17. This is momentum, manifest. The mood hinges on winning games. Winning games hinges on signing footballers. Signing footballers hinges on winning games.
  18. Yeah well what can I say, I’m as dramatic as the sea at night, in the wind
  19. The point of sacking him is, if he can’t win more games of football then he is no use to man nor beast and there is zero gain to keeping him. This isn’t Rafa we’re talking about, it’s Eddie Howe, a man who has won nothing in his entire career and been sacked for relegating Bournemouth. He owes us, we do not owe him, and nothing in this world ever happens because you were nice when you should have been ruthless. Now I will say it’s still too early to make a call. He needs january to sign players and pick up points. But if we go into mid February and we’re still on one win and losing games to the likes of Watford then I want his sad little face on a plate.
  20. Personally I think the people who are rolling over and accepting relegation and throwing their hands in the air and saying ‘well we’ve been shite forever we deserve to go down Eddie Howe doesn’t have to win games of football to be a winner but he is a winner’ are the ones who need a word with themselves. We’re the richest club in the world and relegation will be a total disaster and must be avoided at all costs, even if it means killing bambi after 4 months in charge. It comes down to to results, if Howe can’t get the players in, and then can’t win the games needed to stay up in the short to medium term, there is zero point in keeping him around, so far as I can see.
