  1. That 4-3 win away with Nobby scoring a last minute winner is one of my favourite Toon games ever.
  2. Would take a point here although we can hurt them from set pieces. They have defensive injuries, and struggle against against good crossing.
  3. And what a compelling case it is.
  4. We played well to start the game. They came back into game last 15 mins of first half. They started the second half well, but we won the game with a great goal. 45% to 55% possession, but we had 7 shots on target to their 3. Hardly outplayed. Like I said earlier, we pretty much approached it like any other game. Plan to get everyone behind the ball and see if we can break. Difference is Miggy and Wilson playing well and in their correct positions allowed us to counter well a couple of times. I wouldn’t say it was a good performance really, but WBA lacked anything that could really convert their attacks and possession into goals. Also WBA aren’t one of the pressing, high energy teams that absolutely batter us. I've not saying it was a good performance. But it's silly to say we were outplayed. We had 4 very good chances, and scored 2. They had 2 very good chances and scored 1. We have a good habit of scoring late goals, to win us games or draw games (Spurs, Wolves, Palace, West Brom).
  5. Well, apart from the fact that we actually won.

  7. We've deserved to beat West Ham, Burnley, Everton, and just about West Brom. Lucky with Palace tbf - should have been a draw. The rest of the games, the standard of football has been poor overall, we were lucky to draw with Spurs, and Wolves.
  8. Arsenal next 3 games: Southampton, Everton, Chelsea. That's not easy at all, tricky times for the Gunners.
  9. Loving this season. Title and Top 4 is wide open.
  10. Leicester looking class. Vardy, Maddison, Perez all linking well.
  11. Watch all of our games on TV. I celebrate our goals, and want us to win. I'm not going back to the ground until Ashley is gone.
  12. Soft pen but why is he turning his back to the ball? I hate that. Just jump and keep your body straight, it's not hard.
  13. Fulham have been great, exactly the start they needed.
  14. Weird game. Thought Spurs did sit back too much, and Palace deserved the equaliser, but Spurs could have easily won it, if not for superb Palace goalkeeper.
  15. 0.08 points per game for Sheff United this season. Compare that to our 1.54 points per game. Crazy difference. Nobody would have thought that at start of season. I thought they would struggle a bit, but expected them to have at least 8-9 points by now.
  16. We started well yesterday, but a second goal in the first half would have killed the game. We were too passive in the last 15 mins of the first half, and we let them come back into the game. I was worried after their goal, but the subs worked well, and got us a great goal.
  17. He said he was abysmal not average tho. Agree. Not really sure what the point is in slagging off Hayden when he's probably the only midfielder who can press effectively on our books. He's not a great midfielder by any stretch of the imagination, but if we are upgrading there's a few ahead of him in the queue that need replacing. Don't think we'll spend the money required to buy genuine quality unless the takeover goes through. Totally agree.
  18. He originally was a CB. He should stick to staying there then, abysmal midfielder who offers nothing! Talking s**** there mind. Only one in our midfield that can put a good tackle in. That’s not saying much, the fact he has to says it all and even then he doesn’t do it well enough, he ends up on his own arse more often than not. He’s s**** at CM at every aspect of whatever job he has to do in there. HTT in talking shit shocker
  19. He originally was a CB. He should stick to staying there then, abysmal midfielder who offers nothing! Wtf
  20. Our game against West Brom was miles better than this shitshow lol.
  21. Come on man, he's not been "hung out to dry" FFS Yes he has, has at times been given no protection by the man in front of him; I'm mainly remembering the defeat v Brighton in regards to this, complete tactical failure on part of the manager. Poor today and tbh in general, not denying that. But he's managed by Steve Bruce, which is like having your surgery done by Harold Shipman. It's a fair point to say it's not ideal for a young full back to be coached by Bruce. But he has made quite a few errors, his crossing isn't great, and he loves to come back inside when he could clearly bomb forward. I've not written him off yet but so far: 15M looks a bad deal for us.
