how could you not be looking forward to this one with that interesting formation. Into the onion faced bastards
-
Fascinated how this one plays out, think 5he cushion of a play off place could work in our favour. If we do find ourselves ahead in the 2nd half, I hope we show a little more composure than the last time, where we spent the last half hour just clearing it up the park

Sheringham may have started out as a centre forward but he evolved into a supporting/deep lying striker/ no 10.He was superb at linking midfield and attack with his vision, execution of passes. That is where I see the potential of Woltemade as a comparison, not his finishing ability. I can't get on board with the Shola comparison like,he's shown way more finesse in his short time here. I do think he was a panic buy mind, unless Eddie thinks he can convert him to an out and out striker
-
I thought he was a bit nippier over the first couple of metres, he's been looking a bit clunky. Hope it's just shaking off the rust
-
Oh aye, forgot about that,fair
-
let's not get bogged down in terminology, he looks more like a 10 than a 9 to me. Ok, playmaker isn't the correct term, but I said a good while ago he reminds me of a Teddy Sheringham type. Who does he remind you of?
-
This is what I took from it, and found Eddie's comment afterwards a little dismissive tbh
-
Just the one pass, eh,and nothing like a 10. I suppose you could carry on dismissing the possibility out of hand that he is more suited to a withdrawn role, I'll have to disagree. Time will tell .

I never knew this was a thing, fucking hell
-
yeah I agree he's been getting crowded out. I do expect him to toughen up and if we can find ways to enable a bit more space around him i think we'll see him flourish in that creative role
-
If he has nothing in his locker as a playmaker I wonder why half the fanbase is deliberating whether he is a natural no9 or 10. His form has dropped off recently but previously he was demonstrating putting team mates in dangerous positions with clever touches and awareness
-
Aye the back injury had me out of me seat in the bar, swearing. It was a moment of realisation we were getting fuck all. We'd be a bit smug if Pope did the same, swings etc.He didn't do it much yesterday but the chips to the fullbacks are quite something in their accuracy
-
I think there's merit in this, a solid run of about 10 games in the position would make things a bit more clear on his overall effectiveness, give him the shirt. Rotate Gordon, Murph and Elanga right side
-
Watching that goal back,he had the freedom of the park. Had a similar effort earlier
-
Hatem didn't play LW
-
Eddie sounded a bit dismissive about the two wubbleyous on the pitch together recently, I do hope he reconsiders
-
Doesn't Martinez get scoffed at a bit on here, 'world's greatest keeper'etc. Wish we had the fucker, impeccable distribution and shot stopping
-
poor game, next to fuck all came off for him
-
can't see much more than tidy recycling so far, but he's getting better at it
-
fucking clueless in the final third, blunt and raggedy arsed. Despite the effort, it was an agitating spectacle
-
I'm not watching but are there any deliberate scuffed ones in there ?

mad season, wonder if we can kick on with this rather unexpected opportunity. We tend to fuck up, but you never knaa
