Article has me uplifted and sad at the same time, there can't be many love affairs like this one in football

I'd keep Barnes for the minute but not confident he can nail down that start wide left or right

any pricks goading you and shoving a camera in your face after your team has been beaten can't complain if they get a slap for it imo

Don't understand that robotic flag waving by the PSG lot, no reaction to anything at all unfolding in front of them. Imagine being stuck behind one of the fuckers

Pre-season (2026/27): NUFC to play Everton at Murrayfield on 12/08/26

Newcastle and Everton fans on the piss in Jockland, what could possibly go wrong -
If he is indeed a better left than right back then we have a significant asset imo. He's had a stop start injury hit season where the whole of the defence has looked shaky. The forward play/runs can be worked on and improved, I'd be delighted if he signs a new deal.

Can we not sign Wharton

aye good time to move him on when all's said and done, the price looking favourable I'd say. I won't miss that cringey fucking chant, either

Fair comment, he did seem prone to being crowded out in his fairly limited minutes for us but iirc he looked like he was beginning to emerge from it a bit in his last appearances. Very curious as to what his involvement will be at the World cup and how well he does. I hope he does well, obviously

The only time Elliot has looked approaching anywhere near incredible was when he was on loan at Bristol rovers, and that was League 2. Once the step up in quality in defenders was confronted, the slalom runs and top draw finishes were nowhere to be seen. He's tidy and competent, but at this junction a tad overrated imo.
