Is anyone ever gonna question Redknapp? Should easily be staying up and probably finishing towards the higher end of the bottom half.
-
Could have got a bit interesting if we lost today, but even then we'd only have need 3 wins (maybe 2 and some draws) to stay up. I still expect a bottom half finish though.
-
Great ain't it? Well worth risking their reputation on Malky...
-
Think the current bottom 3 will go down, hard to see either of them turning it around. Would be great to see Burnley survive tbh.
-
Despite their goal, QPR are stuffed. Away form is a disgrace, relying on a load of home wins against top teams.
-
Disgusting scoreline at Sunderland, They're never going down are they?
-
Pretty sure Burnley will score at least one today.

This is ridiculous really. Wasn't Mascherano allowed to play for Liverpool having already played for 2 clubs (and at senior level!), what's the difference?
-
For me, 17th place would be the ideal finish. Not really bothered which ones we win (other than the derby) FFS, I'd hoped I could stop thinking like this once Pardew left...
-
If we lose and mackems/burnley draw (very possible scenario), we'd only be 6 points above relegation. Sadly, I doubt it would make any difference. Can't really see Hull winning by more than 1 as they really are grim, but maybe a thrashing would give certain people a wake up call.

I don't expect anyone to under this regime, nor am I saying he'd be my first choice. I just think he's a good coach.

I don't know why some are so disgusted by the thought of McClaren. Massive upgrade on Pardew and the highly rated De Boer has won nothing he hasn't. If he does for us what he did for boro (a trophy, European runs, general over-achievement), I'll be happy.

Easy to watch a compilation and get a feeling of fondness for someone like Shola, until you then think back to the 100 moments of incompetency and rank laziness he brought to us for every one of those good moments. Shola showed a commitment to rob a living here and p*ss everyone off in doing so 99% of the time. Had he left after the Championship season or our first season back in the Premier League I'd probably feel different about him despite the majority of his time here being pretty painful. But instead he stuck around for as long as he could to be Pardews little bum boy and loved it so much he's now back to having his tongue stuck right up the f***ers arse again. Spouting s*** about how he got the best out of everyone here when we were finishing 16th with Ben Arfa, Marveaux, Yanga-Mbiwa ect on the bench so Williamson, and Gosling and Shola himself could get a game. I don't actually hate him, I'd bet most Newcastle fans don't actually hate him either. I just don't have much fondness at all for him, certainly not enough to forget the torment of the years he spent here or to lie about how grateful I am that he's never coming back. Agree with this. I'm also sick of us making cult heroes out of rubbish players. Terrible 'banter' and really winds me up

Financially it maybe won't make any difference, but I can't believe empty stadiums and protests wouldn't. For me, I just don't want to fund this regime any more as it doesn't feel right. It sucks though :'(

I find it staggering that people can still be so naive.
-
We could do with a horrible, nasty git in defence, I agree.
-
Because Mapou generally didn't play well for us? Not saying I approve of the other defenders and he should still be here (because having 2 CBs is a bit silly).
-
Cisse to come back, win a few games on his own and get Carver the job permanently :-)
-
Good luck to the lad, but he wasn't good for us and even he admits he wasn't suited to the Premier League. Probably gets an easy ride because a lot blame Pardew for literally everything that's gone wrong at the club since 2012.
-
Relegation would be slightly funny tbh. We're staying up fairly comfortably though.

Almost feel a bit sorry for the man. Desperate for the job but obviously not up to it. It's all gonna end in tears.
