He changed Derby from a club that was going nowhere almost overnight. I think some people don't properly respect achievements unless it's a trophy win or a european qualification. I'd also prefer him to Laudrup and Bilic.
-
We've got some exciting players coming through. I'd feel a lot happier if there were a few more centre backs though...
-
If the U21s perform well this summer, I can see Southgate maybe taking us to the world cup or Euro 2020.
-
If he does for us what he did for Boro (a trophy and European runs) I'll be very satisfied.
-
Could we get better than him if we wanted to? Of course we could (although I quite like McClaren) Will we start next season with a manager worse than him? Almost certainly.
-
We weren't far off top 4 until our season started collapsing in December.
-
Carrick is one of those 'pulls the strings' midfielders who will always be overrated by nerds who think they can read the game better than everyone else. He's alright though.
-
I think people are probably in for a disappointment if they're waiting for him to mess palace up and go down next year, he'll do OK there I reckon. Not great, but it's the sort of club where could do alright.
-
Just saw some of the stat posters that have been made comparing him to other England midfielders Strangely, time spent chasing the opposition followed by fouling them and times spent hiding behind an opponent so you don't get passed the ball weren't on there. Reminds me of Arsenal fans using stats to claim Walcott was better than Bale. I'd have Barkley, Delph or Carrick over Colback at NUFC.

Minus 10 points for Portugal. Black kits are only allowed if there is black in your flag.
-
He is only just back after a couple of months out tbf, but I'm surprised he's always been overlooked considering the alternatives.
-
He's not brilliant tbf. We'd all accept this if he played under a more likeable manager.

"Who should captain #nufc on Saturday?" Let's be honest, who gives a flying f***? -
Think of all the defenders from recent years who weren't first choice who would walk straight into the team of 2015. Keown, King, Woodgate, Carragher, Upson. Definitely the worst squad in my time (which is one reason why I think sacking Roy after the world cup would have been pointless)
-
Probably as good a squad as could be picked, but I expect the usual *average player A* should have been called up instead of *average player B*

What I hate about the away goals rule is how so many big ties are decided by something so arbitrary. At least there is some skill involved in a penalty shootout.

I quite enjoy the Guardian podcast, but Barry Glendenning really irritates me. Same with that Paul Sarahs on WFPI.
-
Relax. There is no way Man City will turn this around.
-
They'll win as the pressure's off and they're better than Monaco. Can't see them qualifying though, which is a shame because they're the only English Champions League team I like.
-
I don't really mind the Liverpool staff these days (even if Rodgers is a bit of an idiot), the ridiculous media love they get (during last year's title race for example) is really off putting though. And the fans...!
-
There's no doubt the lad's talented, which makes his awful season all the more frustrating. I think a move away would benefit him immensely. Needs to get away from our awful coaches and the whole 'let's do the bare minimum' culture.

I'm trying to remain optimistic. The managers who've rescued them lately have been hungry, young, energetic managers. Dick was great in his day but is definitely past his best, hopefully he just sees this as an easy payday. Let's just pray Burnley can do their bit.

In my experience 99% of non-Liverpool fans can't stand them, not just on this forum. Long may that continue
