  1. So like the rest of the team, aye? Pretty much. Basically, what I'm trying to say is, if he was still here, it would make literally no difference to our league position. You honestly don't think he could have won us a game in this wretched run we have? Probably not. If everyone else doesn't give a monkey's then I don't get why the master of not giving a monkey's would be any different. Especially if his time at Hull is anything to go by. Also find it bizarre that people would think players like Marveaux would have saved us... Even though players like Marveaux did last time? How did he save us last time? Well his clever assist in the 94th minute against Stoke won us two points, which is what we're currently short of safety. He also set up the only goal late on against QPR at home, there's two more. He set up more goals than anyone else that season. I said players like him of course, Ben Arfa's contribution was also massive relative to the rest. Ah, I knew someone would mention that Marveaux provided most assists for us that season. There were 5. That's not to be sniffed at, but it's less of a contribution than many current squad members have made this season. Most players will score or set up a couple of big goals a season...
  2. If a penalty against a dreadful team is the best example of him 'turning up', then I rest my case. Better than anyone managed last weekend against an equally s**** QPR team. Seriously, what kind of cocksnogger can't see that even a half-arsed HBA would bring 200% more to the team than f***ing slopers like Gouffran, Sameobi or Obertan? Well done. Come on. This forum has always had an unhealthy obsession with the lad. I admit he scored some excellent goals for us, but was mostly a frustrating hindrance with a bad attitude at every club he's been to. If Colback contributed as much to the club in 13/14 as he did you'd slaughter him. And before anyone starts, don't come out with some rubbish about how I like 'cloggers' and hate flair players. I just don't think Ben Arfa is worth having in the squad (and there are plenty of managers who agree with me). Oh and a lot of you seem really impressed with his penalty against a team even Riviere scored against...

  6. Don't blame him. Why would Swansea be afraid of the Europa League FFS? So they can concentrate on finishing 8th? Hate how finishing in the top half seems to be considered an amazing achievement these days. I've been hearing how Swansea, Stoke and West Ham have had amazing seasons. Rubbish.

  8. If he was still here, he'd have stopped putting in any effort by Christmas and you know it!
  9. This is going to be a rerun of Villa Park in 2009. 2 teams that are thinking about the summer. It's all about events at the KC Stadium really, there's not one shred of evidence to suggest we'll get the win we need.
  10. Obvious troll. Literally every non-Newcastle fan I know acknowledges Ashley is a disgrace.
  11. Colback would be on the bench of any half decent Premier League club. Baffles me why so many fans in real life rate the lad, am I missing something?
  12. Why is it so bloody difficult to just have a white strip with black stripes on? Why ruin it with those stupid blue lines.
  13. Man Utd will probably be fighting for automatic Champions League qualification. I just can't see them losing this, but our ineptitude will make sure it's a nervous afternoon.
  14. Still a 3 for me. But I can't see us winning which leaves us vulnerable. We're so so lucky Hull didn't beat Burnley last week.
  15. Sunderland and Hull have much harder games than we have. If they finish above us, fair play to them, they'll deserve it. Can't believe it's come to this. I think we'll probably just about survive, but I was 100% convinced we'd be OK only a few weeks ago.
  16. Heard some people looking forward to away games in the Championship. Makes me angry, people will still pay money to the club even if Ashley sends us down for a 2nd time.
  17. Still can't see us not taking points off West Ham, West Brom and QPR.
  18. I remember thinking "FFS Papiss, stop saving Pardew's job"
  19. 1-1 I reckon, Swansea will go easy on us. If we lose this comfortably, I may start to accept relegation is a serious possibility.
  20. We're lucky we have a relatively nice looking run in. As bad as we are, I'd expect us to cobble 3 or 4 points together from somewhere.
  21. This is exactly what will happen, it's so depressingly predictable.
  22. This thread always makes me feel warm inside. I swear there are way too may people who rate the lad.
  23. I don't want to sound too harsh, but there are definitely a number of fans who will attend because the p*** up and the day out means more to them than the club. Honestly think some people don't care what division we're in as long as they can have a laugh.
  24. Can't quite figure out what sort of team Williamson should play for. Don't know if he's even fit to start for a mid table Championship club.
