Can't understand why the captaincy is being discussed, the poll outlined the majority of this forum totally behind Jamal Lascelles. Most online media polls also, you asked any fan in the pub, they all said the same. A shakey start to the season, and now he's not fit to be captain?

Yes, agree. Or Dyer or Gnabry

My new favourite player. It is already evident he gives more of a shit, and works hard over most that have been here picking up pay for average performance. The way he took the pen last night roared over and booted the flag. Total passion and wants to do well. A grafter and already a Geordie. Quality?

Radio said we may as well have been playing with 10 men. Gini away from home did more? Is that his last game for us... -

Love Ritchie. His celebration after the pen, quality way to react & has given his best in all the games, and his celebration makes me think he's already a Geordie ? -

Team is awful. Anita & Gouffran. Wow. Remember Rafa saying we would have everything done, and he'd know his best team etc by the Fulham game. Seems we haven't done everything and he doesn't know his best side. Nervous. We really aught to be getting points on the board tonight. At least someone is actually playing Gouffran where he used to play when he arrived here. -

Not confident about this. Not confident in the players, nobody is really applying themselves bar Ritchie. -
A few on here still believe Graham Carr isn't responsible for our current woes though.
-
He might as well have said "I'm not in total control like like most believe" just waiting on Carr & Charnley to sort out Moussa, and the rest or the bellends" Then il inform them both where we need players, and as always they will choose who we get..... ?

Think we need to force Brighton into selling us Knockaert, Brighton made a great start he's involved in everything, scored again tonight. Very tidy player.

Brighton off to a flyer & Norwich. Huddersfield, still unbeaten. And didn't see Burton thrashing Sheffield Wednesday. Wow, this league man.

Not sure if anyone has come across this or ever heard of it. But I was basically looking at young talents in the UK and I heard a few noises last year about a 15yr old kid being called up to England u18s turns out he is in Cardiff City's youth academy, eligible at the moment to still possibly choose to play for England or Wales. Anyway had a look on their website to see how he is progressing, as Cardiff fans last year were talking about potential beyond the likes of Ramsey, possibly even Bale. Guess what, he's now with Man City, unreal. Apparently their persuit was relentless. A comment from the bluebird fans: "That's a disaster . What's the point in putting millions into an academy when the big clubs can just walk in and take their pick" "Some clubs aren't even bothering with academies any more because they know any decent talent will be stolen by the elite clubs" The link below explains the EPPP system. https://tomkinstimes.com/2014/07/strengthening-the-strong-weakening-the-weak/ Seems like a tragedy for clubs who can't stop the vultures. That link is a very in depth look at how it all works, hope any of you find it interesting especially if it is something you are unaware of. Pure elitist stuff. Political football, and potentially ruining small clubs.
