Totally agree with all of this.

Busy with newborn. Posts on here. OK. Anyway, sports direct bag in China eh? Edit: read this back and it kinda sounded mean. It wasn't when I said it in my head, I had a smile on my face when I typed it. Should maybe take my own advice

Seriously, stop it with these kinds of posts. You did the same in the Transfer Rumours thread as well. Post your source when saying things like that. I didn’t have the link at hand and couldn’t remember who said. Calm down ffs there’s worse things going on than me not posting a source Kinda agree with Nobody here. Why post it at that time? Maybe post it when its fresh in your mind or later when you have a source? "There's worse things..." Is a bit of a silly response. Of course there is, there will always be "worse things" but try to understand that this is an emotive subject for many and posting something that many would be interested in with nothing behind it is going to get attention. Much like having a conversation, you don't have to blurt out every thought or memory you have. Not attacking, we are all friends here, just perhaps putting things into context

He's already been called out on that. The tweet was from January and the comment pretty much just says "good luck".

But how will I let the world know I'm a good person if I don't raise awareness of the twats? Well this is precisely it. You let the world know you're a good person by NOT raising awareness of the twats. Exactly right. Because interaction with them fuels the algorithms within various social media platforms that doesn't care if it's good or bad interaction. All interaction is considered good for traffic. Make your own posts that don't tag them but let your displeasure known.

Meh. I don't care if he tries to buy another club (although those fans would have my deepest sympathy) or a paddling pool full of piss, as long as he goes. Still don't think it's happening though. What do we think the reason for this imaginary takeover falling through will be this time (apart from that it's imaginary)? No funds? Tire kickers? Leaks to the press? Just felt like it? Didn't feel that the buyers could run NUFC as it should be run? He had a dream that it shouldn't happen? George RR Martin hasn't written the next part of our story yet? Other?

No follow up within 3 days of something breaking = not happening.

yeah, I wondered this. I mean, we know it's nonsense but I want to at least see the stuff that contradicts George.

Indeed. Which is why you wouldn't have Caulkin do it. Use him for when it is believable. A puff piece for filler, use someone that doesn't have the attributes I mentioned.
-
This - Not really. Think it’s a fair point. If his employer are asking him to put out what he knows because they’re struggling for content, he might not have much say in it. Respectfully disagree. The reason for this is that it is known that Caulkin has the respect of our fans like no other journalist. It would be reckless to throw that away for a puff piece as that respect is such a valuable, rare, and nigh on impossible to replace commodity. If they wanted to do that, use a different writer.

Excuse my ignorance, but who is Programme Pete?

Fuck me, a piers morgan face turn. Who'd have thought it?

Good, who wants wholesome?! You want people to have a bit of an edge surely? He is a funny guy though and he does come across as a genuinely good lad I just don't like the fella, I have my reasons. And don't call me Shirley
-
Nah, don't think that crouch is as nice a guy as is made out. I mean, he isn't amongst the keanes. savages, pardews, wises and ashleys of football but he isn't as clear cut wholesome as he is portrayed.

Slightly to the side of this topic, there's a couple of times I've seen a journo's wage guessed at (the guess is usually about 35k pa) and then the post goes onto look down on that amount as if it's beneath them. I didn't realise we were all spaceman cowboy millionaires on here these days. Sorry if the folk who do it didn't mean for it to sound that way and I've just picked it up wrong, but it's felt that way to me. Well, that was the inflection given to it by to the under butler who read it to out to me anyway.

Brilliant! Great draw.

Not really related but I just wanted to say thanks to Yorkie; At the weekend I was trying to remember what that other social media platform from around 2007 was called, I remembered Myspace and obviously Facebook but couldn't remember the other one. Thanks again!

Yeah, totally agree with this. I was flabbergasted when people were saying that mcclaren was such a man of his word as he hadn't quit amongst his impending sacking and Rafa rumours. That arsehole was totally hanging on for the cash, as he had done so at Derby. Man, the amount of managers we have had (under ashley too) that have just made me embarrassed for being a Newcastle fan is staggering. This is just the latest incarnation of cackness. It's almost like if Dr Who was a literal pile of shit and kept regenerating at this club in different forms (with the odd exception, obvs).

Fossil is acceptable.

I really hate it when people refer to the incompetent pricks such as bruce, allerdyce, pulis, pardew et al as "dinosaurs". Like, I get what they mean but dinosaurs are fucking cool, they make toys and films out of them and childhoods bearable. Stop hating on dinosaurs. And don't get me started on calling lasses "dogs"...

Only legendary for his portrayal of Duckman.

My enjoyment of football has regressed to the point of disinterest over the past 10 years and I lay the reason for that solely at the door of Ashley. From being very aware of many players from all of our domestic leagues and around the world, enjoying catching whatever match was on TV and even getting engrossed in Football Manager every year, I now cannot even watch a match without an empty, soulless feeling. Again, all down to Ashley and his tepid servants pardew, carver, macclaren, kinnear, llambias, wise, bishop, charnley and now bruce. I felt a rekindling of excitement around Rafa and that first takeover really got my hopes up. And that's what this is about. Hope. It should be a pleasant thing, but it's being used as a measure of control over the white-feathers who still attend, praising bruce and ashley like good little sycophants. Hope keeps them in line. If llambias did follow through with his "you don't know how nasty we can get" we might have seen more of a backlash against them. Throw them a player every now and then and the masses are less unhappy to the point they think that is happiness. It's not just in Newcastle though, the entire world seems to be Eternians voting for Skeletor to rule them. But you all know all this. I don't know if i'll ever have that same feeling of enjoyment around football when ashley leaves but it's an experiment I'd like to try.

I can relate to this.

So all this time Ashley has just been the front man for the real criminal............ Ali Fraser................ I knew he would get his revenge one day after Oz shagged Vicky in Spain. Remarkable reference. Snort-laughed reading that. Brilliant.
