Various: Mike Ashley in talks with Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan

Might want to rephrase that. Fear not, I understand that Quakes is taking one for the team and has put himself on chopper watch 24/7. That's me on autopilot. If you're in Grindr out of choice, all good. If you're there out of duty: chopper-watch/possible announcement forum (ahem), then all good. If the latter, and you find yourself wishing to participate, then all good. After all, even Caulkin has caught on to the potential significance of the 'place'; I shit you not: " This is the grind of the transfer window and Newcastle United are grinding through it like everybody else, except in one significant regard." Who knew? (the source of his 'sauce'?) -
Around whatever Jaime Vardy is values at I guess. Nearer Kane than Vardy. Cole was a more well-rounded player with a much better goal scoring record. Cole was also 23 at the time, whereas Vardy's 30. Feel like Shearer = Kane, so Cole would be someone worth half a Shearer/Kane. No way, Cole was the hottest property in the league when we sold him. Just as valuable as Shearer. Not sure about that like. It's not as if he kept Shearer out of the England line-up; not even next in line.

Ahh, a lovely reminder of Summer. The glorious sunshine (well, it was warmer), the smell of freshly cut grass, the comforting sizzle of a barbecue, and the word WALK.

That De Jong header :fool: It’s all coming flooding back.

Ah! Back in post maintenance. Glad to see I haven’t missed anything (not really). -
We were unlucky last time given it was the second highest points total to be relegated. But we really fucked up by not beating the teams around us. Couple of draws late in the season (teams escape me/repressed) we needed to win.

tickled me muchly!

I'm logged in 24/7... Just in case there is news on the takeover. Tip us the wink Quakes, if it happens ... now slightly concerned that may have a double meaning... -

Blackpool, surely. -
I was once tackled by a crowd member ten yards from scoring an unopposed winning try at Coalville, Leicestershire, many moons ago. I was once tripped by a spectator whilst running down the wing in an inter-squadron Junior Army match. Resulted in a twenty man brawl (disciplined bunch that we were).

I know a group of Nature’s most adorable assassins who might be able to collectively solve ‘the problem’. Bagsy first bite! -
He-he! Great line. Can’t be real, though.

We would be too short of options in midfield to lose Shelvey. There may be some kind of angle where Rafa is preperaed to sell one of our better players to fund the loan of a couple: direct cover for that position (comparable in his mind) or an improvement with a more key role in the future ‘of the project’; plus vice versa with a player for another position, i.e. someone he really wants or someone he believes can do a job. I don’t mean to sound precious on Rafa’s behalf, but it must do his nut in, having to wait for BOGOF offers in Aldi while others (some not really in his ‘managerial class’) are loading up at Waitrose.

We have all heard plenty of blurb over the years about the business model. They’ll want to get the salaries off the books before they commit to loans and the kind of salaries we all might hope we have to pay for the quality of player we would like to see come in. Removing these commitments (Mitro and Colback mainly, I would imagine ) as well as whatever transfer fee we recoup could fund decent loan signings for the rest of the season. I sincerely hope that this timeframe is all that is important, before finances change.

Let Norwich do the giant killing and then we get to see whether we did indeed buy the right brother (bootiful). -
I’m trying to find him too. Thank fucks all that ‘hope stuff’ is over. Think I’ll go and find myself a suitably bleak avatar before I continue my search for the wise one...

Curious. They were linked with Luuk de Jong a few days ago. Chief scout must be a character!

Here’s hoping Stoke have Baggies style NM Bounce. 4 points from eight games prior to change; 4 points from eight games after.
