  1. Great idea. Albert Man Utd 5-0 as one of the CBS.
  2. Rob Lee away to Antwerp would feature for me (hatrick of headers, 2011).
  3. With you on the cup finals, was at both and have no desire to revisit. Really enjoyed some of the memories from 95-96 though. Not just us, had forgotten all about Tony Yeboah, for instance, couple of cracking goals that season.
  4. Heaven?! Big Les, Beardo, Rob Lee, Ginola... joy. Even seeing Ian Wright, Shearer (Blackburn), Cantona (ish) and many more in their pomp... what a time to be a football fan.
  5. 1995/96 Premier League Years on Sky Sports 1 at the mo... heaven.
  6. Was that the b side of Working For The Yankee Dollar??
  7. Ha! Two Stockdale own goals tonight (so far...).
  8. Talking of dodgy decisions not going our way, seems we don't even need to be on the pitch to be jinxed. Excellent goal scoring opportunity free kick given to Brighton, when their player Murphy fell over himself, and then clear professional foul by Bruno played on (no advantage developed) and not brought back or carded. Boo! Get some fuckers banned or crocked.
  9. Knockaert off. Too much celebrating perhaps.
  10. Whilst it may be the thing that kills you, got to hope man. No fat ladies chanting yet (apart from Delia, "Where are you!")
  11. Imagine the delicious final day tension at home to Barnsley if Brighton lose tonight, and then lose or draw at home against Bristol City; we beat Preston at home and Cardiff away. Too much to hope for?? Could imagine Villa getting something, against them, especially if Brighton's arses are twitching.
  12. We love you Norwich we do... We love you Norwich, we do! So far, so Bootiful. [edit: just seen it was two own goals! welcome to our luck ]
  13. Totally get the distance putting petty rivalries/rank dislike into perspective, and all things English/British seeming easier to identify with. Personally, Man U would probably always be a step too far for me/many. But fair play to you, you're a more reasonable man than I Either that or your Trumpian environment has driven you chicken oriental!
  14. On vinyl. Sold the record, but I possibly still have traces of the bruises from when it was first played at the 1st Year school disco.
  15. Time for an Italian renaissance, me thinks.
  16. Come on Norwich's 12th man: 'Where are you!'
  17. What a piece of work. Cold, victim blaming, callously minimising his actions and the young girl's intentions. Psychopathic aeroplane mimicking scum.
  18. You never know, Sweet Caroline might work with a tweak or two... Hands, tackiling with hands Reaching out, doing a foul, getting booked... Sweet Jackie C (bum, bum, bum...) I once hoped you would be good I'm now inclined (bum, bum, bum...) To believe you never would But now I... Think you're quite shite.
  19. . I'd have three of them lot for next season, thank you very much.
  20. Lots of things matter, to some degree, hence all the frigging moaning (myself included, btw), but promotion is obviously the main objective. I was generally surprised at how little difference there was between the 1992-93 results ('exciting' KK team) and 2016-17 results ('boring' Rafa team). It's a bit like how KK's 1995-96 side being defensively frail has become a commonly accepted truth, but they only conceded 2 goals less than Man U (who actually scored 7 more league goals than us). What mainly made the difference that season (imo) wasn't the absence of a defence/tactical naïveté, Asprilla or Batty or anybody else spoiling our style of play, it was our only home loss (we had one draw as well): after battering Man U 0-1. If we'd won, as we clearly deserved to, everything else being equal we'd have had 81 points to their 79. Long time ago, I know, but I can't let it lie... sorry.
  21. Nice post Paully. Puts it in context. 5 fewer goals scored and 2 points less. Funny how the outcome skews your memory of the whole season. Just had a look at who signed when, and Keegan signed Rob Lee just after the season started (towards end of Sep 1992: 36 starts, 10 goals) who was a fucking colossus that year. Only other signings were in March (about 13 games left): Mark Robinson (2 starts), Sellars (13 starts, 2 goals) and a young chap named Cole (11 starts 12 goals!).
  22. Well done to the lad. Hope that gives him a boost. I find it surprising, but not because he has looked off form recently, but just given the competition. Some strong seasons/performances by centre backs in the Championship (certainly seen a couple I would swap him for). Suspect Ritchie missed out as, again, strong competition in midfield roles. Though they don't seem to have selected by position, so to speak, so I can see an argument for Knockaert and Cairney over him, but a little surprised Shelvey and Mooy (both very good players to be fair) pop out above him.
  23. Think I'd prefer a Zulu war chant to be fair. Or maybe a little ditty like this (from West rather than South Africa) might catch on: 'Beef Jerky Time!'
