I liked Titus too. For about 20% of 80% of his games, and 80% of the other 20%.

Newcastle United promoted back to the Premier League

Not as bad as I thought, but then you only tend to recall the goals against that cost you points I suppose Not as bad as I thought either, re late goals. Same selective memory possibly applies to penalties and other bizarro officiating (two rescinded reds in one game, giving a free kick to the oppo following encroachment at a converted penalty etc.). Anybody done the numbers on penalty decisions? -
FFS, that suit; that press conference; that, that... whatever it is. If he's not on the sherry again, I fear he may be bipolar.

Are they starting to give out bonus points? I'm not prone to paranoia, but that doesn't mean the barstewards aren't out to get us! So wouldn't surprise me. -
Really don't think any of them are big games now. Except in the sense of enjoying their last taste of the Premier League; probably for a couple of seasons at least.

Accepted. But no fat ladies (Leeds fans ) singing when they simply need to lose one and draw one. Not too different from their good recent form (three losses [30%] and seven wins) and my optimistic runes tell me they are overdue a draw. Think back, we weren't drawing many, but the four draws in our last ten is basically what puts us so far behind. Turn two of them into wins and we would be top on GD. Bottom line is we now need to win all of our games. -

You've missed a game out for brighton. Have they not played 42 as well? -

Think and hope we'll demolish them. We are due to give someone a spanking; might as well be them. -

With six games left I thought we'd win four, lose one, and draw one. I still think (hope) this. That would give 97 points. If Brighton win two, draw one, and lose one. Title is ours. Promotion will be confirmed before then, despite collective angst and predictable lack of quality in key positions, the performance yesterday was from a team (and crowd) fully up for it. Could be a fantastic final game against Barnsley. Here's hoping. -
Haven't watched the game back, but I know I was more annoyed with him than anyone else. From memory there were three key moments where he fucked up a fairly simple final ball, when we were in strong positions. I know it happens to everyone, but it happens to him a lot. Recall a couple of lovely touches as well, but chuck in snapshots straight at the keeper and basicallly, imo, he flatters to deceive. I wish he would fuck off elsewhere. Tired of waiting for him to become the player he seems to have the potential to become. Last night shows the cost of not having composure and clinical finishing in your forwards. It costs and we can't afford it.

Other than looking like he was shitting himself when he walked on the pitch, I didn't see too much wrong/remarkable tonight. Did score mind. I haven't watched goal back yet, mind, so accept that he may be out of position.

Sorry lads I think tonight was all my fault, tried to risk it and put my trainers on first. "Daniel, you still up for a trip up North? Think we have a live one..."

I actually think Diame had a more negative impact than Colback: looked completely off the pace.

People are overlooking this. They came to defend and that made us look better than we are. I reckon Monk could have got 3 points if he'd been a little braver. Eh? Isn't that the reason for many complaints this season, that we can't break defensive teams down? Yeah, we scored 1 tonight. Also, we looked better tonight cos a "good" team sat off us and gave us the ball. So we dominate a game, but thats only down to the opposition sitting off? Yes. They gave us the territory throughout the second half. Makes us look better than we actually are. There were no improvements in our performance today. I expect a similar struggle and poor result, or sneaked victory, on Monday. If that's genuinely what you think after that performance, then I am pleased I don't have to live with your head.

His movement and positioning is f***ing appalling. He hardly ever makes the correct runs that would put him in goalscoring positions. We'd have won comfortably with a striker who cared about movement and positioning on the pitch. You are well lost in the land of opinion there like. Don't see that at all.

Physiologically blowing it... we'll get asthma? -
We'll be fine Nobody has nor will give us fuck all this season. Another clear pen not given tonight. Fuck them. Let's take it. Hope the bad luck/rub of the (hands of the ...) Green, anti big club bias, rank incompetence, and general fuckwittery of our own making, gets them angry and as focussed as they were for much of tonight. Hope Brighton start celebrating early. They will lose a game, hopefully two. HTL!
