It sounds like we want rid of him just as much as he wants to leave at this point. If he's going to put in performances like he did post cup final then we aren't really missing out much either.

Wissa and Jackson for £95m (based on Hopes figures) is a better outcome than signing Sesko I reckon.
-
Wouldn't take him for anywhere close to that sort of price. However I do think he'd score more for us than Sesko will for Man U this season.
-
Chelsea originally valued him at £100m a few weeks ago didn't they? Pretty obvious they're setting a ridiculous base price to try and con a club into thinking there getting value when he's sold for £60m which realistically is a £20m overpay. We are probably the one club to fall for it as well

Probably saw Stifler knocking up Hank Hill flags and changed his mind.

I mean despite what he's saying publicly Eddie himself may rather go into the season with two strikers who actually want to play for the club, like. I'd rather he stayed but I'd much rather we sold him for £150m than reward him with a bumper new contract for this season so he can leave next after how he's gone on. IMO that sends a much worse message than selling someone for the third highest fee in the history of the sport. I mean last season we had Isak who couldn't run after 60 minutes and Wilson who couldn't run at all. The squad could well be in a much better position in two weeks than it was least year.
-
I mean unless Liverpool stump up the cash he's not going anywhere regardless, like. The improved contract with clause has seemingly already been offered to him earlier in the window to avoid this whole saga? He wasn't interested and has behaved like he has so I'm not sure why we would be rewarding him with it now because he hasn't gotten his own way. If your think he's not going to bother trying for us I'm not sure why you'd be convinced he suddenly would if he's getting an extra 50k a week and knows he's off next year anyway.

Forgot how mental that Griezmann thing was, made a whole documentary to be broadcast on Spanish TV that would reveal his decision
-
Sell ons seem a bit ridiculous when you get to that price range of player mind. In cases like Trafford, City selling for a lowish fee but having a sell on makes sense but not when you're already paying an absolute premium for a player.
-
Was definitely a snide prick at times but what a player he's been.

If the plan was to have Ekitike and Isak for a season then we can afford to have Isak and Sesko for a season surely?
-
Hope not. Think he's a huge gamble and seems to have an even bigger dickhead agent than Isak.
-
The bid just feels like a 'we tried' bid to appease Isak's camp more than anything. Reckon they don't want to burn bridges in case they go back in for him in the future. It's always came across that they don't want him as desperately as he wants them. They were never going to pay the £150m after Ekitike.

You'd have to have the lowest self belief of all time to not back yourself against Hojlund, like

Isak basically had a free pass for every shocker he had including games where he just strolled around and looked liked he couldn't be arsed at all under the assumption he must be injured. Those type of performances in the future would be viewed in a totally different light if he came back. Players like Rooney or Suarez who wanted to leave are very easy to win fans back over with how they play. Both put in absolutely everything everytime they played.
