Wood v Tranmere as well

Yeah I agree, just re-iterating the point that while it's unfair, the ST holder didn't need to be put in that situation because they could have made sure they were in pot 3 and therefore not even in the ballot. But it was always going to be a shitter, sorry you couldn't get tickets (nor could I), will be proud to see the stadium and surrounding areas full of black and white regardless.

It would be very odd for the club to release a statement at the start of the season saying I know we are in a second round game v Tranmere, but if we get to a cup final in 6 months time this will be the ticket allocation process Liverpool Chelsea and several other clubs have done it this way over the last few years.
-
And if the season ticket holder had gone to three games they would have got a ticket no questions asked. There's a history of cup attendances being taken into account for cup final allocations. Given how insane everyone knew the demand would be I genuinely don't think there's cause for complaint if you didn't go to 3 of Bournemouth, Palace, Leicester and Southampton.

Always going to be people disappointed. I think it’s great that STs don’t have priority for everything and that there’s a chance for members to get a ticket. otherwise all those who applied for a ST in the summer and failed faced being locked out of all games indefinitely. There’s still a vastly reduced chance of getting a ticket if you’re only a member but seems fair to me to open up a small amount to them.

You’d have a hard job getting Wilson down from Newcastle in time.

Apart from the fantastic assist in the first five minutes ffs

There are around 6 players due to leave before Murphy like. Ritchie, Dummett, Manquillo, Fraser, Gillespie, Lewis. He's going nowhere.
-
Of course they will. But to suggest we won’t be challenging for the CL over the next 3/4 years is mental. This isn’t Pardew’s 5th place season - we aren’t going anywhere and this is a long term thing.
-
I don’t get this at all. Why on earth would we not be challenging for the CL over the next 3/4 seasons?
-
Not sure why people keep saying we are a midfielder down. Gordon in will allow Joelinton and Willock to drop into CM. We’re net neutral on that front.
-
How? We are obviously destined for the CL long term regardless.

Everton are in FFP turmoil…
-
We’d get him cheaper in the summer than now?

In no circumstance would we play better with ASM as a CF over Wood. An absolutely mental suggestion.
