-
So greed eating itself in football form....looks great
-
Obviously can't stand Rio Ferdinand but he spoke well about this earlier.
-
That's got nothing to do with it, unless the Saudi's planned to take us into the same super league. There's nothing wrong in being owned by someone rich, as long their intentions are fair and proper.
-
The reaction of all the major players has shown this will be hard to get off the ground, i just hope these scumbags still get punished. In what way if it happens will be interesting.
-
Why don't you just leave the thread alone ? I personally don't think the sale will happen, i wish it would but nothing good ever seems to happen to us.....as the usual story goes. In saying that i don't come in here to stomp all over sandcastles, a thread where dreamers are dreaming a dream in hope it might come true. Just let them be and stop being a miserable git who wants to spoil the little bit of hope some have left. The sale doesn't happen, hey then be a dick all you like and tell them so, but for now just leave the thread and the dream alone.

Unfortunately this is the greed of owners who don't care about football or fans, only money. No glory, no once in lifetime achievements for some clubs and their fans.....just lining their already fat pockets. Football will have to change, it's eating itself with the greed from the cunts who think they're the top bollocks.
-
Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and Chelsea........just utter greedy scumbag clubs. Kick them out of all competitions, arrogant wankers who no nothing of tradition and fair sport.
-
Gary Neville doing his nut.
-

The story says the shop would be refurbished and reopened as a club store, if........big if.
-
I think that doesn't read how it's supposed to, not certain but i think it means the club shop will only supply our kits, and maybe other Castore merchandise. I'm assuming store at the club had other teams kits, and general crap Sports Direct sell.
-
A manager wins 11 out 12 or something, then has a 2 games losing streak and they're doing their nut And we expect too much
-
That's positive like, if true.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9467645/Mike-Ashley-closes-Newcastles-retail-store-makes-staff-redundant.html Mike Ashley shuts down Newcastle's retail store and makes all of its staff redundant as they are told club's proposed new owners do not want to keep them - with shop likely to return to club control in fresh £300m Saudi-takeover twist Newcastle owner Mike Ashley is closing club's retail store with staff redundant He informed them that club's proposed new owners do not wish to keep them In a move that insiders say points towards a development in the £300m takeover Sportsmail understands the change is one of the conditions of the Saudi deal Mike Ashley is closing the Newcastle United retail store and has made all of his staff redundant, informing them that the club's proposed new owners do not wish to keep them. In a move that insiders say points towards a development in the £300million Saudi-led takeover, the Sports Direct-owned store is now likely to return to club control. Sportsmail understands the change is one of the conditions of the Saudi deal, which has been awaiting High Court arbitration since its collapse last summer. The progress of that private hearing is not known. Staff were said to be stunned when told on Monday that the St James' Park shop must be cleared by next week and that all jobs would be lost. It is expected to remain closed for a period before being refurbished. Kit supplier Castore are set to be confirmed as the club's new official provider and the store, when reopened, will only stock their merchandise. Castore, whose kit is worn by Andy Murray, will sign a deal worth around £5million and replace Puma in the role. The British company, founded in 2015, has a similar relationship with Scottish champions Rangers However, it is the mention of incoming owners in a letter sent to staff that is the talk of those close to the situation and inside Sports Direct. Ashley has instructed top sports lawyers to challenge the Premier League's owners and directors test, which could not determine a separation between the Saudi state and the country's Public Investment Fund leading the Newcastle buyout, causing their withdrawal in July. But sources close to the deal say that all parties, including consortium members Amanda Staveley and the Reuben brothers, remain committed to it — pending the outcome of the private arbitration hearing against the Premier League. Were that to be successful — and Ashley is said to be hopeful of a positive outcome — then it is expected that a takeover would be finalised swiftly and the Newcastle owner's 14-year reign would be over.

That wouldn't make sense though would it, he's closed the store and laid off the staff as the new owners don't want to keep them on. It's a Sports Direct store, which will now revert to a Newcastle club shop again after a refit. If the story is true, it came from Craig Hope.....so hope i suppose.

Now get the sale done and give us some happiness for a fucking change.
-
Great result that to be fair.

Anyone else think that name and player seem out of place at Burnley
