http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rafa-benitez-been-making-moves-11300650 Senior players – those who want to stay, not those who are looking for their next pay day – are understood to be under the impression he will still be here next season. There have been some enquiries to players, coaches and others about putting foundations in place at the club for next season, too. Please please please...

Forgot about this. When we were in the Championship last time I don't think I've ever watched as many live Newcastle games (legally ) as I did that season. We were on all the time It'll be more now as there are more games shown than ever. Quite enjoyed it last time.

They'll be a queue..

Well that's me playing on for one more season for my Saturday league side. Most of the Newcastle games won't be Saturday's at 3pm, they'll be TV games Thursday, Friday and other wonderfully messed about nights. Not going to miss too many games if i play on.

But the last point matter in regard to the first, i mean, being very good is pointless if you're gutless with it. It seems to me he'll only be good if he's in a team that wins all the time. Ok in Holland, not good enough in better more competitive leagues, making him not good enough basically at a better level.

Even if they draw they only have to draw away to Watford who are on the beach Even with a draw and a loss we will never close the goal difference. Hang on, if they get a draw and a loss, and we win, we'll be a point ahead of them right? (saying this from memory, haven't looked at the table today) You're right.

We keep saying things like, couldn't be bothered, didn't try, played within themselves, hid from the ball. You know what ? Maybe they're just not very good. Sometimes i watch them and can't pass the ball five yards, or control a simple ball, they can't even do the basics right. It might be lack of ability as well as lack of heart.

It took a little longer for his techniques to filter through to the players, and that big loss at Norwich is probably what in the end has sent us down, also the fact that this year very few teams were involved in the battle and one other, Sunderland are past masters of this, hired the perfect person to keep them in the division and got luck at the right time, that last minute pen against Stoke was a huge momentum shifter. Yes the Norwich game, why oh why did you drop Jamaal for Saylor ? ...Rafa ? why...

I reckon he'll go back to Anderlecht on loan for a season, if he doesn't stay in the Championship with us.

Missed a few towards the end, away with England U19's and injured for a bit too. He can be part of our squad, but we really shouldn't be repeating this season's mistake of relying on unproven strikers based on their potential. Every other club in the championship can do the same. We came back up last time because we held onto our core PL players. Aye but the core players this time have nothing about them. And if your ever going to try a kid with potential, the Championship is a perfect place. He's proven with 19 for Coventry he's got something about him and no doubt Championship clubs would have wanted him on loan for next season. You're right though, we need a proven striker too. With 46 games you can rotate as you see fit to give Armstrong plenty of game time. When Mitro signed everyone was saying flog Cisse and even then it seemed daft to rely on unproven premier players. As it turns out Cisse hasn't delivered either, but the principle still holds - you need proven goalscorers at that level if you want to succeed. Aye but you wouldn't have said Carroll and Lovelyhands were proven at the time and they scored loads in the Championship, i do know what you mean but you'll never try a kid if you adopt the attitude you are. Leicester just won the League with players like Kante and Okazaki who were unproven Premier players. Good scouting matters and we don't have that at all, hence us buying wrong players.

He should be one of the first out of the club, along with Charnley and Moncur. Absolutely right.
-
I would guess that McClaren had a hand in spending some of that, not that Carr hasn't been s***. McClaren was Carr choice as manager too, Carr fucked us over plenty.

Everton are toilet.

Very talented, obviously a good footballer but he has absolutely no heart and fight. Shame as he should have been good.

I think Rafa would prefer the Shane Long type of striker who can play the channels and finish when he gets the chances. He does, he likes a mobile striker who runs the channels, Mitro can't do that. Armstrong though, that'll be interesting and the only thing i'm looking forward to right now, seeing how Adam does (if he plays of course).
-
He'll be more than good enough for the Championship. I think he's cack, even in the Championship i think he still will be. Dummet and Mbabu as the two LB's for me.
-
He might be ok with a striker like Defoe playing off him, Armstrong might fit the bill. If Rafa stays though that won't happen as Rafa is a unchangable 4-2-3-1 manager, lone striker stuff.
-
All of them except Haidara, imo he's not good enough either going forward or defensively.

Last day, for us to go up and for them to be relegated to League One, now that would be mint.
