It's a shame as this really rules out other options that suit the team such as 4-4-2. I think the 4-2-3-1 will click but not the way it's being implimented at the moment. We need to be more attacking, even playing 4-2-3-1 you can do that.

Problem we have is the 4-2-3-1 is good as a counter attacking formation as we saw against Tottenham, but now teams are sitting deep and we lack ideas. Up front we're lacking numbers because we're not set up to attack, we're set up to counter. It just looks awful right now. Rafa will sort it out i've no doubt, fast as possible would be nice like.

I was reasonably optimistic this season. We've then went and lost Allardyce, Kone looks like he's away, and we've only made one signing. It's the same every season, FFS we sold Bent to Villa who were below us in the league at the time. If there's a bigger club in the world with less ambition than Sunderland I'd like to see it. It used to depress me when I was younger, now I just accept it as I know there's absolutely f*ck all I can do about it. It's hilarious actually.
