He just signed a new contract in the summer so even if he does try to push a move through, the ball is still firmly in Sunderland's court. At best, I could see them making a gentleman's agreement with him that if he agrees to stay till the summer and they stay up, they'll grant him his move then, a bit like Cabaye with us if rumours are to be believed.

People rated him because he was a young player that showed a lot of potential in an awful side, not because of his tweets. He was a positive player who'd run at and beat men and displayed some great technique with some of his finishing. He's regressed massively and I don't see anyone defending him really but let's not pretend he was always s*** and it's fair enough if people wanted to give him a chance under Rafa. He's been awful since Pardew left which is incredible really considering the manager in question. People on here may not defend him but social media still has a lot of people defending him no matter how little he offers.

I didn't say he's as utter s**** as Colback, I did say that he's s***e and for all the grief Colback gets, Hayden is also extremely poor IMO and the point I was trying to make is that Hayden gets away without criticism. It's all well and good pointing the finger at Colback being awful but you can't then forgive others for offering very little either.

Howe was speaking highly of him and saying they have no intention of selling only the other day so I doubt it, although Rafa was saying similar about Mitro.

[emoji38] Might be the worst post I've read in the last 24 hours What does he do? He makes some decent tackles at times but also misses an awful lot and his passing/use of the ball is awful. He does an ok job at this level and admittedly he was better at the start of the seaaon but he's nowhere near PL quality from what i've seen from both then and now. Still young so arguably may improve but we desperately need a better 'destroyer' if you like.

For all the grief that Colback gets, this kid is utter shite as well mind.

Absolute liability who brings nothing whatsoever to the team. Has a PR team who post nice things on Twitter though so has a fan club who will defend him to the end.
