Can only assume you've not seen much of Perez lately either if you think he could step in and do a job.

He's a premier league proven midfielder. He'd be perfect breaking up the play alongside Shelvey if he could stay fit.

Probably an unpopular opinion but i'd rather see Murphy start over Perez if Gayle & Mitro were unavailable.

I can only hope that the lack of a appeal means the club are working even harder to get 1 or 2 midfielders in for almost as soon as the transfer window opens.

Our fans were awful IMO. Picked up in the 2nd half but still quieter than normal. Wins are wins but our football this season has been boring for the most part, which then makes it harder to generate a atmosphere. There were some silent spells, but for the most part we sang and chanted and the majority of us were in good spirits. Before the match me and a friend were walking around the retail park trying to find somewhere to eat, one of our fans who was clearly off his head was getting closer and closer to us and singing some of our songs at us thinking we were Wigan fans and trying to intimidate us. He walked off sharply when we turned around and revealed our NUFC shirts. There was a lot of bairns who thought they were the dogs bollocks there last night, which unforunately always happens when it goes to general sale. We were in the Red Robin and a group of about 15 of them started doing the "lets go f***ing mental" chant and ripping doing christmas decorations. Absolute bellends. wtf??? anyone have a word? Aye, a mate of mine that i met down there did. 2 other lads who were on the same bus as me did as well and I think they got the message.

Was at the 2-1 Haidara game. I think the way Martinez and Whelan reacted makes me want us to absolutely smash these. Living up to the 'new James Perch' tag I give him pre season. Had a poor game v Blackburn but he wasn't alone and he's kicked on since.

I always prefer to see Yedlin picked when the lineup is announced but I can't recall Vurn having a poor game at RB for a long time. Worthy of a new contract.

I've been 3 times and witnessed a 1-0 loss on each occasion. Hnng. Same here. Im the exact same. Im there on Wednesday as well so fingers crossed for a better result. 2-0 win.

I never have and never will boo one of our own players, nor do I agree with those that do but he's been poor since joining and was worthy of some criticism for playing poorly.
