    Rafa Benítez

If he’s to stay he wants business done early this summer. The club are definitely dragging their feet. Honestly if I was in his position, I’d just say “fuck ya I’m off” They either want him or they don’t. It doesn’t have to be an ordeal.
  2. That’s a good result for us in terms of whatever happens with Rondon, not a chance he’ll be staying there now. There must be something in the loan deal we agreed where there’s a nominal fee. Time will tell.
  3. Just the 26 goals this season. I wouldn’t know. I have zero interest in Aston Villa. Bag of shite tonight in fairness.
  4. Red all day that. Always been a total cunt that player.
  5. He sort of looks a bit more at his level. Is the focal point of most of their forward play so he must be doing alright. If we’re to be in for Rondon at all this summer it will depend on West Brom’s bargaining position so I want Villa to get through tonight. Then lose to Leeds..

I’d be less upset about that then say, taking over at Wolves for example. I’d be even more upset if Man Utd came in for him. And they very well could once Ole falls flat on his face.

Some people would have said that about us before he came here! Can’t accuse the man of having an ego thinking he’s too good for somewhere.
  8. Yeah that seems cheap. He’s probably in the top 10 players on the planet at the moment. Or at least he was last season.
  9. Not surprised at all. He didn’t have a great year in fairness. They were a good side the year before though, it might have been just a case of a couple of players who think they should be elsewhere upsetting the apple cart. Player power over the last decade has been disgusting.
  10. What are the odds on Keane being brought in to get the dressing room in line? Maybe a director of football gig.

If he leaves it certainly makes it easier to take a step back. The negativity isn’t good for the mental health at all. Funnily enough, Manchester United supporters are heading into the same sort of choppy waters. They’re in a bad way currently.. certainly not as bad as what we’ve gone through but even despite Ashley, our first team is in slightly better shape then their (currently) I can’t wait to see how many of their tourist supporters stick with them after a few years of total irrelevance.

Yep. Whatever happens, it’s been a privilege to have the man in charge of the team. I really hope he gets enough to make him want to be here for another 3 years.
  13. Will that be the last we see of Atsu? Cheers for the effort if so. Always worked hard, can never accuse him of not trying.
  14. Apart from his goal, Shelvey quite poor. Atsu is also shite today. Wouldn’t mind seeing Muto get a run out.
  15. I’ve grown to be so cynical of all the bullshit. Never believe a word that’s printed when it comes to that wanker.
  16. For Rafa to stay and be given the green light to spend, we really need Mike Ashley’s businesses to be doing better basically. It’s like a fucking paradox. We can’t have both things we want.

    Transfer rumours

Well the Chelsea fans were always cunts of the highest order. A club no bigger than Fulham in reality.
  18. Well according to the financial outlets he’s lost about half a billion this year in bad business decisions. His lot stands at around 1.9 billion now. Almost a billion tied up in sports direct. Give it 2/3 years and he could well be forced to sell up.

I’m not saying he is. It’s more of a question. It’s something Chelsea players have done season after season and it was suggested Terry was the root of it. But it’s still there so who’s running the dressing room?

Quite liked Chelsea when the first wave of Italians arrived. Zola was a special player and a great person too. Not sure you can describe a club that’s finished 3rd in a remarkable Premier League (for 2 teams) as rotten to the core. Sure they have problems but I think the manager will improve them eventually. Definitely some bad eggs there, but who? Hazard? I thought all that bollocks of trying to get managers sacked would die out when Terry left. Apparently not though.

I'm surprised there hasn't been a bigger pr war between Ashley and Benitez. The only information we have got regarding Benitez's contract situation is from Benitez himself during his press conferences. At this stage I think no news is good news. Rafa certainly upped the ante with his comments in previous weeks and ever since the “positive” olive branch he’s not made any pointed comments regarding the club. He does want to stay. Everyone knows this but he’s also a man of principal. He got shafted by a bad agent the last time in regards to the fine print of his contract. His hands were tied so he had to see his contract out. This time it will be on his terms and he will have better agents looking out for his interests. It’s about somehow meeting the club halfway somewhere. I have no idea what’s acceptable to him in terms of compromise.
  22. Leicester have have definitely improved under Brenda in fairness. Knocking it about really well when they have the ball.
