He stopped giving a fuck about the club the moment we turned on him after Keegan. He was quite popular up to that point, which is why I think he bought the club (one of the reasons at least) mid life crisis etc, looking for some validation that he was a sound bloke. Except he couldn’t keep the facade up once it turned sour on him. He might be a billionaire but he’s always been a small time cunt.
-
I defended him at the beginning of the season.. just having a kid n all. It can’t not effect every aspect of your life. But then he saw his live Instagram feed and he was partying with his mates like a fucking 12 year old. His attitude is all wrong. He thought he was billy big bollocks coming back.. a big fish in a small pond and how lucky we were to have him.. It took Rafa a while but the penny dropped.

Having success as a manager is all about confidence and momentum. Mourinho had it when he arrived at Chelsea.. Klopp had it going to Liverpool, Pep certainly had it going to City. And Rafa in a sense would have had that bit of confidence when he took over here.. and there was probably two occasions where we could have capitalised on this. Backed him when we got promoted which we didn’t, or at the very least back him after taking a shit heap to 10th. Now in his final year, no signs of a change happening. The momentum has certainly been stopped and I’d say his confidence has taken a knock too. He’s never had to work with such a poor team in his whole career. When he finally leaves this job, he should take a well deserved break from football. It’s clear this situation is affecting him.

So we’re a premier league team with championship standard players.. players who walked the championship.. yet we now can’t beat a team from the championship a little over a year later? At what point does Rafa take some flak for this?
-
Why do we draw these cunts every year? A terrible football club, who have won more than us..
-
Schär/Lejeune could be an excellent partnership if one of them took the responsibility of being a leader.
-
He’s obviously been told to get on with his job and not talk about the lack of transfers or the imaginary takeover. His “I will not talk about transfers and I will not talk about the takeover” is exactly the same as his “As always I am focused on training and coaching my team“ interview he gave after falling out with Liverpool. The love he gets from the supporters is the only thing keeping that man here.. we’ll along with his salary, but he’s wealthy enough now not to need it. I think as a man of honour he will see out the contract but that will be that, there’s no reason for him to stay.

Why just one game? #BoycottNUFC #BoycottMikeAshley would work much better. Just stay away from home and away games until something gives. The club can easily take the hit of a few thousand not going to a single game, they can even spin it for positive PR by offering knock down ticket prices to schools. But a prolonged absence? That would make them take notice. It’s not a time for half measures.

You don’t actually believe this, do you? His last three seasons.. 4th, 3rd, 5th Ever since (minus the Championship seasons).. 14th, 7th, 13th, 12th, 18th, 12th, 5th, 16th, 10th, 15th, 18th, 10th It’s an average placing of 13th for every year in the Premier League since SBR left. What other club could consistently be total dogshit and yet still think we’re something special? I think it was the hounding out Robson comment he was referring to, it's the type of thing the Mackems say......in what way was he hounded out? Ok grand stuff, let’s skip around a well made point than shall we. On Robson, again let’s not revise history. The boo boys were out. Not loads, but enough to make Freddie Shepherd take notice. I thought at the time that he’d had his day.. and what a t*** I was to think it. Like any other football club, we’re a fickle bunch of c***s. We drew 2 games and lost to Spurs at SJP and then got beaten heavily by Villa away. That was the end of that. He was hounded out by a section of fans and then the board who’d gotten greedy for CL money. The vocal minority of fans didn’t get Robson sacked, fans were booing the players who’d thrown away a CL place the season before, the same players Robson publicly protected by saying they were booing him. At the start of the 2004 season we drew to a last minute Hasselbaink back post punched goal, threw away a 2 goal lead to newly promoted Norwich, murdered Spurs and lost 1-0 then benched Shearer and lost 4-2 at Villa after leading 2-1 at HT. It was marginal stuff and we were playing ok. Shepherd believed Robson had lost the dressing room and there’s no doubt in my mind that the players got Robson the boot and Shearer takes an awful lot of the blame for that. Shearer could have made his presence known in the dressing room in support of Robson, Robson believed Shearer stabbed him in the back. The fans had nowt to do with it but they became a convenient excuse. We got what we deserved following that decision, Robson was leaving at the end of the season and the club shat on him from a great height. I agree with you about the players. They were despicable. But I remember the Norwich game.. the moans and groans were not just the small minority. There was a bad vibe throughout much of the pre season and I remember us being very poor against Celtic (we might have played Rangers too that summer) The rot has returned. At the end of the day it was Shepherd who made the call and I understand why he did it. It was just the wrong thing to do. My overall point though is that we’ve only had a couple of seasons in 25 years where we’ve been any good. The rest has been total abject bollocks. People from around 35 onwards will remember the good times and the buzz about the place, but to anyone younger and especially people from the outside, we may as well be Wigan or Burnley or whoever the fuck. I guarantee you won’t read posts on their forums about private jets landing at the airport. They know they are shit, the problem is we don’t.. well we think it’s all Mike Ashley’s fault but the reality is we were shit well before he bought us. The decline was well underway. Yeah we signed better players back then but they didn’t really cost all that much and also, it was much closer in timeline to the Keegan era. Young players won’t have a clue about Tino Asprilla or David Ginola and in a few years Shearer may as well be Supermac. Remembered by many but ultimately just some chap from donkeys years ago who was a bit decent. Which all goes back to my original question. Who the fuck would want to buy us?

its f***ing You don’t actually believe this, do you? its f***ing grim reading and shows the problem big time His last three seasons.. Well we were already on our way to total mediocrity before Mike Ashley even got here. He just carried on taking us into the mire. Overall we are a bang average to poor premier league team. This is our full premier league record. 3, 6, 2, 2, 13, 13, 11, 11, 4, 3, 5, 14, 7, 13, 12*, 18, 12, 5, 16, 10, 15, 18, 10 * when Ashley came in. Including the good years, our average finishing position overall from then to now is 10th The 14 seasons before Ashley got here our average finishing position is 8th. The years he has been here, in the premier league, the average is 13th. It tells it’s own story I suppose. But let’s not revise history. We’ve mostly been a really crap premier league side:

Who the fuck would actually want to buy this shit heap of a club? The club stopped being relevant to anyone but us after SBR was hounded out.
-
They’ve been fairly decent this half. Can’t see them improving on it so if we manage to get more of a foothold in the second half, we could have a chance of getting something in this game. Atsu very good again. Looks like the player we initially signed!

Pogba will rape us, to death.
-
Something will give this year. Can feel it in me bones. Happy New Year yis cunts x

We should have Diame, Hayden and Shelvey in the middle. Play Ritchie and Yedlin as wing backs and play Rondon and Joselu for something different. Schär, Fernandez and Clark at the back.
-
Jogging back while their player sprinted into the box to score fucking boiled my piss. Is he thick? Yeah he’s not the brightest.. but what happened is down to attitude. You either play for the shirt or you play for yourself. He’s always been in the latter category. Always. It’s not the first time this season that a player coming on has just jogged around losing his man. Kenedy did it too. We need less of characters like that. I don’t think either are in Rafa’s immediate first team plans anyway.
-
I hope so. He obviously just thinks he can get away with whatever he wants because that’s been how it’s gone so far. I wonder if any club has been run by a shady PR project on this scale before? The tide will eventually turn. I think Rafa walking will be the catalyst. If he stays and nothing changes, I’d have to question his ambition.
-
FFP has been shown time and again that it's a total joke. Doesn't apply to certain clubs and there are ways around it as Man City and PSG have proved Free to those who can afford it. Very expensive to those who can’t. We’d soon be into the crooked stuff if we had the wedge.

I hadn’t had my coffee yet. Now I love everyone again ?

This fucking thread man.. like banging your head against a brick wall day after day. Everything that can be said has been already. Like fucking Groundhog Day. Rinse and repeat. The definition of madness is trying the same thing again and again and expect a different result. If we want the enemy to pay attention to us, a few soft boiled chants about his weight just isn’t going to cut it. He has absolutely no respect for us, he knows he has nothing to fear. We can’t even organise a protest without everyone falling out. Bunch of whining bitches.

He touched off his arm, didn’t pull him back. Went down like he’d been shot. Good player but cheating cunt. Embarrassing

A proper bumming but not before we stifle the game until about 4 minutes into the second half. No major surprises in team selection. Hayden in for Ki. Ritchie and Atsu keep their place. Fernandez back in the middle, Lascelles dropped maybe. Clark in to the left? Major lack of creativity in the midfield. We’ll hoof it down the channels any chance we get or hit it long for Rondon. This won’t be pretty.
