Completely disagree. City toyed with us that game, they didn’t really need to move up through the gears as our only response was sheer stubbornness in defense. If they increased their intensity, scoreline would have been far worse. Brighton were nothing more than decent today, which was counterbalanced by an awful performance by ourselves.

7 I do like all the signings we’ve made, but for me we should have prioritised a proper defensive midfielder and a quality RW. This also obviously contrasts against the owner’s long-term plans, as illustrated through the signings of Hall and Livramento, but I do think we could have done with more proven European experience in the squad, even on loan deals, just so we can navigate the pressures in these competitions.
