I would really like another defensive-minded midfielder to come in. Someone with Longstaff’s profile or a similar player who can perform his function in midfield. I don’t think we bring in anyone else though and I’m fairly satisfied with our window.

I agree, I think most of the names linked to West Ham would greatly improve them. I think McTominay is a good player and his profile is actually one that I think Newcastle still need in midfield if our squad get stretched by injuries etc. The obvious issue is the inflated fees which West Ham are inevitably going to have to pay. They will have more money once Scamacca is sold as well.

Scandalous that like. I gave up my season ticket a few years back so I’ve obviously got no right to expect a ticket, but that scheme and it’s associated pricing just makes me not want to bother at all now.

If anything this merely reiterates how Newcastle and our ownership are never going to be accepted by the rest of the league. We need to remember this at all times and do them no favours in return.

Basing Maxi’s performance purely of assists seems short-sighted to me. He actually should have far more assists than he does, but in many games in the last few seasons, the player on the other end of it simply couldn’t finish.

Rice is a brilliant player and justifies the acclaim. It’s a lot of money but he will likely be a key player for the next 5 years. Xhaka out the door for around £15m and will probably sell Partey for about £30m.

I wouldn’t want to sell Wilson this summer under any circumstances.
