My main issue is we don't give them any minutes at all. Naff loans ad infinitum until they reach ~24 and can't be considered young players anymore. It looks like we're not going to thankfully, but the idea of loaning out Anderson and/or L. Miley irks me because of that. Liverpool have always played young players in League Cup games; 3-6 of them alongside seasoned pros like Oxlade-Chamberlain, Firmino and Gomez and it's a positive environment for them especially at Anfield. A full house backing them and a taste of first team football. Some of them may not end up being good enough, but at least they're given a chance. Some of their last few lineups; Derby (H); Kelleher, Ramsay, Phillips, Gomez, Tsimikas, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Bajcetic, Clark, Frauendorf, Stewart, Carvalho Norwich (A); Kelleher, Bradley, Konate, Gomez, Tsimikas, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jones, Keita, Gordon, Origi, Minamino Leicester (H); Kelleher, Bradley, Gomez, Koumetio, Tsimikas, Henderson, Morton, Oxlade-Chamberlain, N. Williams, Firmino, Minamino Lincoln (A); Adrian, N. Williams, R. Williams, van Dijk, Tsimikas, Jones, Grujic, Shaqiri, Elliott, Minamino, Origi I've never heard of some of those names and probably won't see them again as some may have been sold already. But at least they were given that chance in their club's colours.

Know nowt about him. Hope he's good. I hope we see a lot more youngsters get a chance next season with 4 competitions coming up. Constantly loaning out these lads to League 2 League 1 and shite SPL sides does nowt for their development, even if they get decent minutes. Given as a team with our style of play and smart signings we're on a similar trajectory to early Klopp Liverpool, we should play a lot of our youngsters in League Cup games, especially at home against shit sides. Look at some of the lineups that Liverpool have put out in that competition, you'd recognise like 3 or 4 names.

So he is. Turns out I haven't got a clue as usual. As you were.

Tad bit concerned about Bundesliga tax if we do for Szoboszlai but I have no qualms about Howe implementing players from abroad into our side. Would love Maddison here still mind as the bottom line is he's a quality footballer who guarantees goals and assists in the PL. Probably gone over this a million times before but I'd like to see us get a LB*, younger right footed ball playing CB**, more defensive minded CM*** and a RW who could player across the front 3 in the case of an emergency, eg injuries.**** *Kieran Tierney **Mohammed Kudus maybe but unsure on names and unsure if we've even been linked to any CBs yet outside of Kudus and Kim Min Jae who I imagine would cost a hefty wedge. ***Amadou Haidara, Manuel Kone, Khephren Thuram, Edson Alvarez ****Dominik Szoboszlai, James Maddison, Moussa Diaby, Marcus Thuram, Ferran Torres (unsure if Maddison or Szoboszlai would play here tbh like but y'kna) I had a ticket for the True Faith journalist get together thing on Monday but because I was in Edinburgh for Springsteen I couldn't go, but apparently what was said was Howe is allegedly not keen on Diaby which I was disappointed to hear but one of the names we are looking at is Ferran Torres. Unsure what his wages would be but that's what was said.

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)

Sevilla confirmed in Pot 1. -
4 Europa League games I've watched the whole way through now this season and in each one the standard has been absolutely garbage.
-
Would've had absolute prime Jose here, 2003-2011 Jose. Not now though. I do like him though, the SBR connection and how he feels about NUFC being the crux of it. But also the memes, how much he hates Spurs his all round character from afar since he left Man Utd I like/find funny. Then again I watched next to no football outside of us in the COVID era so he was hardly ever on my TV screen so I'm probably not the best to make a judgment of him.

Amazed but somehow not surprised. Doesn't matter anyway, we all know how well he's done and how good he is.

Training ground is unrecognisable from a few years ago. But the state of Shola man.

Spurs look fucked especially if Kane leaves so the big 6 may be over. Be a while before they're overtaken in terms of overall revenue though.

Unbeaten in London. Only team to have managed that this season.

Spurs away was the game that made me think "fucking hell, we've actually got a really good side here" and that we may have a real of chance of finishing in the top 6. Monumental game and result in the context of the season but in the first 20 minutes they got behind us a few times and missed 1 or 2 good chances before we took the lead. Southampton away, the league game I'm assuming, I didn't actually think we were that great. Yet we won 1-4. Hallmark of a really good team.

Tough one because there's a few. Forest (H) was all us for 90 minutes. Just had to wait for the 2nd half for the breakthrough. Villa (H) scrappy first half but 2nd half we were unstoppable and 6 or 7-0 would not have flattered us in the slightest. Leicester (A) was our most complete away win I think. Only time we've won away from home whilst keeping a clean sheet this season incidentally. Forest (A) again was all us for 90 mins but we left it late. Man Utd (H) is probably our most complete performance where it was domination throughout. Especially given the importance of the game. Spurs (H) was just frankly ridiculous. We were unstoppable but we were helped by an incredibly strange Spurs tactical set up. Amazing to witness but am unsure to call it a dominant 90 minutes, as daft as that sounds with the scoreline. Brighton (H) was excellent in such an important game. Tactically spot on and the scoreline did not flatter us at all.

Going to do top 3 in no particular order. Player of the Season: Trippier, Joelinton, Bruno Most Improved Player of the Season: Longstaff, Almirón, Willock Most Disappointing Player: Targett, Fraser, ASM due to his fitness issues Signing of the Season: Isak, Pope, Botman Goal of the Season: ASM v Wolves, Almirón v Fulham, Longstaff 2nd v Southampton Assist of the season: Isak v Everton, Willock v Spurs, Schär v West Ham Game of the Season: Spurs (H), Man Utd (H), Aston Villa (H) Moment of the Season: 2 late goals v Brighton, being 5 goals up in 21 minutes v Spurs, Isak pen v Forest Manager rating out of 10: 10 Season rating out of 10: 9.5 (missing 0.5 for no silverware and that January-February dip)

Undisputably manager of the season. What a job he's done, not just this season, but across his whole time here.
-
Maddison's missed pen v Everton has gone a huge way to deciding that. Mad.
-
They're like never allowed to relegated that lot. Leicester though. Absolute shambles this season, who would've seen that coming at the end of last season.
-
FT. Naff today, but what a season. Most I've ever enjoyed.

Ref's a nonce.
