One thing the club and Howe will have to manage is the increase in expectations but that's par for the course imo. Top 7 or 8 next season should be the aim, at least some form of Europe. It was what I thought we should be targeting at the start of this season given we've been in top 4 form for 18 months.

Owners won't go 'mental' per se but the difference in the income between Champions League and Europa League is massive. From the prize money for winning or drawing matches, to the sponsorship, to the wider international interest. It'd almost be a hurdle overcome in regards to the 'fair market value' sponsorship craic. It isn't. The state of Leicester City is down to a multitude of reasons; their owners King Power hemorrhaging money due to COVID, abysmal squad management in contracts, signings and outgoings, Rodgers' management for the last 18 months and general underperformance on the pitch. CL now would fast track us exponentially. It's been a memorable season already but I'll be devastated if we don't make it now. After 28 matches we were 10 points clear of Liverpool with the same games played, if they finished above us there's no way you could dress it up other than a bit of a collapse a la Leicester in 2019-20 and 2020-21. Arsenal last season to a degree as well. And that'd be hard to stomach no matter how well we've done this season.

As good as Villa have been under Emery I just don't see Liverpool not winning their last game of the season at Anfield. More so if we give them incentive by dropping points tomorrow. Win tomorrow and its there for us. But it has to be a win, anything less and I just can't see us doing it unfortunately.

It absolutely would be. Regardless of whether its boring or not, airing opposing and differing views is the point of a forum at the end of the day and being called thick for them isn't on obviously.

Liverpool had been in patchy form all season up when they played Arsenal at Anfield. Win 3 or 4 on the spin, lose to Leeds at home. Beat Man City, put 7 past Rangers away from home, get battered at Brighton, Brentford and Wolves consecutively. Put 7 past Man Utd, lose to Bournemouth. I'm not surprised a few thought they wouldn't win their 9 remaining games because they haven't shown that kind of form all season, nor have many clubs this season shown their usual form from seasons gone by; Chelsea, Wolves, Leicester to name a few. But they're probably going to do it and fair play to them for doing so. We've just needed to do our own job which I hope we can, 6 points from our last 2 home games and they can't catch us. Either way, the 'bedwetting' patter and the opposing quasi 'told you so' patter is boring as fuck.

Wouldn't take a point if offered now personally. We're at home. If we win this home match we'll put ourselves in a position where we need 1 more win to assure ourselves of top 4, and we play an absolutely rancid Leicester at home in our final home match of the season next, a night time match. If we beat Brighton, all of the crowd, players and the manager will know that just 1 win against a chronic Leicester team at SJP under the lights in the last home game of the season will secure CL. Completely different circumstances than were surrounding the game on Saturday.

Win this game and its done. Not a chance we don't beat Leicester should we beat these.
